Spinoff from another thread.
Had to change the title because I don't think any man would call her bulky. It seems some women think she is so time for a poll
Bulky is being used in a subjective way when it is not a subjective term in the MFP forums.

Bulky..no.0

Meh, I don't see the value in setting up a post to judge a woman's (or anyone's) appearance. I hope that she has an appreciation for her body, just as I have an appreciation for mine, even though she and I and everyone else looks different.0

Not to me. But hey, my arms look just like that, and I like them.0

has above average muscular development for a female + pretty lean, who cares what you want to call it really.
Better delts than most guys srs0 -

Well you are incorrect about that feeling.

The point was so people don't use wrong terminology to explain why they don't lift weights a certain way.0 -
A bit too lean for my taste but by no means bulky.0

Glad to hear it. What was the reason behind posting then, just curious...

There's a debate going on in another thread about what bulky means for women. Some think that just about any muscle definition means "bulk". This pic of Madonna came up.0 -

my guess would be that in fact, that's what a lot of women consider "bulky" and that in reality, they are confusing "bulky" with being lean.
she is lean and has above average muscle development (that she's worked on for decades), but that's not bulky.
there's a lot of women out there who think they are going to just accidentally look like this if they so much as look at something heavier than their purse.0 -
Yes, she looks bulky to me and not very feminine. It's a little too much for my tastes.0

Oh ok, thanks. For what it's worth she looks amazing to me. Very lean which tends to trick the eyes into seeing size.

Not to me, she looks small. Her arms look nice. I forgot how old she is.0

I rather have those arms then the bat wings I struggle with0

She looks like I wanna work out with her.0

She looks really good to me, very lean, but not bulky by no means.0

Too muscular for my taste0

Right?? Same here. It would be an awesome workout.
Great idea, @yopeeps025. It’s interesting to get some more input about people’s view of a “bulky” woman.0 -
she looks great. Good for her0

No, she looks very lean with nice muscle definition. And awesome, in my opinion.0
-
Before I started my weight loss/fitness journey, I would have said she was bulky and her arms weren't very attractive. Now I think they're awesome, and I would love to look like that. Maybe not *quite* as lean, but that's just my taste.0
-
I don't think she is bulky. To me, bulk it mass and she is still tiny just defined.0
-
Bulky, no. Those arms
Non-attractive, yes. Though, that has nothing to do with how lean she is, just not a fan.0
