Saw this picture in a running article cracked me up - until I looked at the back of my car and realized this was my car. Okay not really but almost, between Skip's XC magnets, 10K, 13.1, Support Our Troops, Roll Tide, Wounded Warrior and my West, Texas sticker I'm getting close.
@robertdupuy - great job on the long run!!
@shanaber - we are so twinning on mileage - I'm just a couple behind you
@cw106 - great job getting to goal
@italysharon - look at you adding to your goal, fantastic!
@jimcrackindandy - the heat is truly taking it's toll. I love the hot so I don't complain much about it, but it's been mid 90s and high humidity here for a couple of weeks now. We haven't had rain since I can't remember when. I hear some local places got a quick sprinkle or two but that is it.

I didn't get out and run yesterday but Kody & I did get in a nice 2.5 mile walk. After going to the MN Twins game (where we stomped on the hated ChiSux, 13-2), I dropped my truck off at the shop and walked home after midnight. On the way home I was treated to the northern lights! I haven't see those in about 12 years. They weren't colorful or spectacular, but they we still VERY cool to watch. I called my wife to let her know and she drug the two boys out to watch them. After watching those for a long time I continued my walk and saw a couple of deer and a red fox.
It would have been a beautiful night for running but it was a rest day for me.0 -

I want to thank you all for your congratulations! It was kind, and I appreciate it. Unfortunately, after setting my lofty goal for June, I have been completely debilitated by Morning (AKA Make-You-Wish-You-Weren't-Alive-24/7) Sickness every day. Yesterday, I finally felt like a human again. Sooo...Here is my amazing June progress LOL!

@skippygirlsmom wow on the car! I'm debating weather or not I will be one to put a 13.1 on my car come October.
@Wendy1Fl oh I hope the morning sickness passes quickly. I feel for you.0 -
@elise4270 I couldn't wait to put that 13.1 on my car LOL
@wendy1fl sorry to hear about the morning sickness, I hope it passes soon.
@runtimer - nice new shoes love them I love how on your ticker your batter is now behind your pitcher ha ha
@ohhim - the heat is definitely taking it's toll on the running0 -
-
@skippygirlsmom That car looks similar to my Ranger. If you ever see an old Ranger with a lot of stickers on the back in your city, you know it will be mine..lol

@mmabry72 - Hope the new insets help with your leg pain!
@karlundy - so awesome to run with your daughter on Father's Day! I bet she loved it too!
@MrsKGrady - I can empathize on the sunburn! I am very fair and a red head so I always wear sunscreen but sometimes I miss or don't reapply enough! I got super burned on Sunday running at the dog beach just because of that!
@italysharon - WhooHoo on upping your mileage goal!! You've got this!!
@KOW75 - I hope you are resting and recovering! Being patient coming off an injury is the worst!
@jtarmom - welcome back! Hope that knee is cooperating!
@annekka - stay safe if that typhoon comes your way!
@mwyvr - Awesome to have your whole family to run with on Father's Day! and that you are able to be out there running with them!
@RobertDupuy - congratulations on your 60 minute run!
@skippygirlsmom - love the car. I have magnets for 13.1 and from the Star Wars race but that is all. I did see one I want to get for my non-running husband though - says just '0.0' We saw it on another car and both laughed out loud! We are twinning on our runs and mileage - race you to the finish
@7lenny7 - socool about the Northern Lights! My daughter texted me that the news in Seattle said that they may be visible to them tonight too!
@Wendy1Fl - Just know that this too will pass and you will soon be back running regularly! I found the most important thing for me was to ALWAYS have something in my stomach even if it meant nibbling on soda crackers at 3am because that was all I could tolerate and the only time it stayed with me. Once I could keep a bit down, I never let myself get super hungry because that is when I would get sick again.
@ohhim - You've totally got this! 35 miles for the week is no problem for you!
@RunTimer - Yay! New shoes!! They look great! Maybe need to up your goal (maybe 72) - just sayin'
@Elise4270 - I couldn't wait to put my 13.1 on my car too but I don't do stickers so had to wait to find a magnet.
Whew - I think I am finally all caught up!0 -
4.9 km this morning for a total of 66.88/70 km for the month. Had to stop 4 times during my run. 3 times due to laces issues (will never NOT double knot again). Once cause a pedestrian bridge that was there a week ago was completely gone this week and I had to make sure I realized where I was as that is one of my landmarks.
Best part: after each stop I was able to restart running. A month or two ago I would have been doomed to walking after the first stop.0 -
02/06 - 8.5km
16/06 - 6.01km
24/06 - 6.2km

@Wendy1Fl - Love the new picture and baby bump!
Had a really good run today despite the heat. Race pace run on the schedule and I doubted I could really get it done. Left the pup at home because it was just too hot for him. I managed to get miles 3 and 4 done in a 9:30 pace - my 5k/10k pace! Overall I was very happy with it. Rest day tomorrow!

I ran 5.9 miles split over two runs tonight.
The first run was a 2.8 mile trail run in the heat of the day, about 80F. That took some considerable effort!
The second one was a practice 5k at 10pm and I'm VERY happy to say that I ran it faster (9:53) than my previous PR (10:06), and I was feeling pretty good after this one, not dying like the last one. I think I'm ready for my real 5K race this weekend. Considering I'll be fresh for that one, I'm hoping for 9:45.

I've done a bad job giving praise and being generally social this month, but I want you all to know that you are all such an encouragement. I sometimes get on here to read the posts when I don't feel like going for a run and it motivates me. Thank you! :-)
