Are you getting enough to eat during the day, with lots of "good fats?" I like the European philosophy on eating: Eat like a King for breakfast, a Prince for lunch, and a Pauper for dinner.
I actually am doing LCHF... when I eat at night its more boredom, or stress or because the food id their. At work I just bring what I am eat for the day.

I understand. The evening is my hardest time too.

Congratulations on completing Week 1! Take the success!!!!! Each day, remember to be good to yourself. This is about seeing all of the wonderful things your body can do! Don't deprive yourself of the things you enjoy. That would steal your joy. Portion control mixed with exercise will get you through those times. I am chuckling to myself as I write this. Successes/struggles this week: Hmmmm. I didn't mean to lose that much weight and I assume some will come back b/c I know it's pretty normal to lose a lot of water weight up front. The success part is that because I'm REALLY focusing on getting tons of protein and limiting carbs (I'm working out with weights 3x week a la Nerdfitness) my blood sugar has been a lot better than normal. I didn't have too much stress about tracking food until the very last day and even then it wasn't too bad. I think checking in once a week for accountability will be a good thing for me b/c I'll be re-starting with a fresh attitude. (For me it's not about fixing what I eat, but about reminding myself about the HEALTHY reason I'm tracking!) Once I start to succeed in building muscle, I know my weight might start to go back up some so I'm actually going to focus more on how my clothes fit than how much I weigh. Thanks, team!0 -

Successes/struggles this week: I was determined to enjoy my week without allowing myself to feel like I was on a diet. I struggled a little with my desire for salty potato chips when shopping for groceries, but kept reminding myself that caring for my body is more important than a bag of salty chips. I bought nectarines instead. This is a BIG deal coming from a chipaholic!!! Hahaha

July 8 check in.. Although I tried to cut and paste my original post I can't so here is the short version
July 1 - 208.8
July 8 - 207.2
Loss - 1.6lbs
Success/struggles - logged all week, increased physical activity, stayed positive...struggles - some personal stressors (that I avoided food to cope with!!) but they take a toll none the less, Total accurate logging is questionable and some headaches as I don't think I got enough water in during the hotter days.
On to week two! Enjoy reading the posts and positive messages on the thread!!0 -

Weight lost/gained this week: since July 1st I've lost .5lb, so I'm starting today (7/5) @ 166.
Weight lost/gained this month: n/a
Successes/struggles this week:
- wine and sweets are my weakness. It is my goal to have only one bottle per week (so 4 glasses), while I'm losing weight.
I can't control myself around candy... If I have it in the house I will absolutely consume ALL of it - typically at once. So, this week I commit to NO candy.
July 8th check-in
Lost 2 lbs
I did well this week with my wine&sweets consumption (since I technically started this on Monday... That was pretty easy lol)... The real test will be from now until the 15th. Fingers crossed & prayers said!

Successes/struggles this week: Even though I just joined yesterday I've been working out 6 days a week since the first of the month. That's definitely my success so far. I have yet to miss a workout. It was rough last weekend staying on point. My father in law made homemade ice cream. How could I say no??? It was ridiculous but I just tried to compensate it with a longer workout both saturday and sunday. I know it's going to be a long month and I'll be going out of town at the end. Whew!0 -

Successes/struggles this week: doing a very low sugar diet no fruits except green tipped banana or 1 green apple a day, very low carbs (only 1/2 a cup of rice, legumes or quinoa a day), lots of veggies except for corn and no potatoes including sweet potatoes. So far my biggest struggle has been missing fruit but my greatest strength has been my energy level and not to mention overall less bloating!0 -
Hi, everyone,
I would love to join this group because sharing another person's weekly progress is very motivated. Having searching for motivated for the past few days and all I found was person's talking about their long term progress really frustrates me because I become impatient and want to lost that much overnight. Lol

Successes/struggles this week
This week was unusual for me: after a month of nice steady weight loss streak, this week I gained weight...And I know why: Hosting a party for 4th of July, when I bought a variety of foods with my guests' interest in mind, then having several days of leftovers really set me back. This comes to say that it takes time to change a habit and to maintain it.
Women have other struggles with weight loss too: Carbs are irresistible close to that time of the month, who's with me? Nonetheless, I'm happy I am part of this accountability group; I slipped but I'm ready to get back on track.
Success this week: Managing to wake up on Saturday morning and have a run at sunrise
Hope your week was better, and if not, let's turn it around!0 -

Congratulations Christy! You lost weight without being highly motivated. I would take it a day at a time, focusing on caring for both your body and your mind. Remember that you are beautiful just as you are and are simply seeing where you can take the wonderful body you have been blessed with! Best wishes for an AWESOME week!!!
