Are you getting enough to eat during the day, with lots of "good fats?" I like the European philosophy on eating: Eat like a King for breakfast, a Prince for lunch, and a Pauper for dinner.

A hearty veggie soup can be a great "Pauper" dinner!

Congratulations on completing Week 1! Take the success!!!!! Each day, remember to be good to yourself. This is about seeing all of the wonderful things your body can do! Don't deprive yourself of the things you enjoy. That would steal your joy. Portion control mixed with exercise will get you through those times. I am chuckling to myself as I write this. I sound SO AMERICAN! Hahaha... I wish you the very best this week Jam! I believe you can do it!!!

Successes/struggles this week: Biggest struggle is would be blowing all my hard work for the day by super snacking at night after supper. Biggest success would be pushing my self nearly everday to exercise for at least an hour. Took two days off for holidays.

Still going to be a little while before I see Onederland but at least I'm on my way now. If anyone wants to add me as a friend please do we all need all of the support we can find.

Successes/struggles this week: Hmmmm. I didn't mean to lose that much weight and I assume some will come back b/c I know it's pretty normal to lose a lot of water weight up front. The success part is that because I'm REALLY focusing on getting tons of protein and limiting carbs (I'm working out with weights 3x week a la Nerdfitness) my blood sugar has been a lot better than normal. I didn't have too much stress about tracking food until the very last day and even then it wasn't too bad. I think checking in once a week for accountability will be a good thing for me b/c I'll be re-starting with a fresh attitude. (For me it's not about fixing what I eat, but about reminding myself about the HEALTHY reason I'm tracking!) Once I start to succeed in building muscle, I know my weight might start to go back up some so I'm actually going to focus more on how my clothes fit than how much I weigh. :) Thanks, team!

Successes/struggles this week: I was determined to enjoy my week without allowing myself to feel like I was on a diet. I struggled a little with my desire for salty potato chips when shopping for groceries, but kept reminding myself that caring for my body is more important than a bag of salty chips. I bought nectarines instead. This is a BIG deal coming from a chipaholic!!! Hahaha
