    Cycling burns about 100 cal for every 5 kilometres. If you could cover 25 km in 45 min, you'd be there. I think you'd have to maintain minimum speed of about 33.3 km/h to do it if my calculations are correct.

    500 calories for me in less than an hour - running. Easy. But I weigh 178 pounds. Your mileage may vary.

    Depends entirely on what you weigh. I couldn't do it. I'm not heavy enough and fit enough to get that burn. Jogging 4.5 miles in 53 minutes gets me about 300 calories. But someone quite heavy could do it by walking for half and hour.

    By "quite heavy" you mean around 1,000 pounds moving 3mph for a half hour burn of 500 calories ... right? That's what it would take to net the type burn you're suggesting.
