Hey yall I hope you are having a great night. I had a really rough day I dont know why but I have bern so tired all day that when working all I wanted to do was sleep or go get coffee. I have the day off tomorrow so hopefully I get some well deserved rest.

@PurringMyrrh another question - do you just want random boys to play with or are you looking for The One?
The One is already taken. Just killing time until he's not or I die - whichever comes first. How can you be completely loyal to someone if you're always thinking of someone else? It boggles the mind I tell ya.

And yes, closer to home is ideal, but unfortunately I've never been able to help who tickles my fancy. It takes a certain sumpin. *sigh*

I've always had that problem too. I've managed to be in 3 ldr's because I so rarely find someone I like locally. It's also just kind of hard to date in NYC. *shrug* Just keep doing it till you find someone that makes you forget about the Taken One. I guess that was fairly obvious though.

Hello. I like chatting too... but never enter the date/kiss/whatever threads. Not my style.

I'm crazy exhausted. We've had such a crazy week. We're renovating our bathroom and laundry room in our basement, and my in-laws came yesterday. We tried to have it all done by the time they got here, but we were pretty close. Everything is installed, but not everything is plumbed. So that's fun. We're working on getting a "fish room" installed into the laundry room. We have a 260 gallon marine aquarium, and want to run our sump/filtration tanks in the laundry room, with our main tank in the TV/living room. It's been a challenge, but we're getting very close.

Next weekend we're participating in a 24 hour endurance road race (car racing, closed track). Our race car (late 80's trans am) has been having overheating issues. The boys are in the garage with the car today, and we're taking it out to the country tonight to see if we can get it to overheat again, and to practice our driver changes. I'm really nervous about the race - I've only been on this track for lapping/limited passing events, which is really different than live racing. I've raced once at Las Vegas on a live track, which was a lot of fun. However, I was driving an Integra, which is a front wheel drive car with less horsepower. This car is a lot more to handle, and I'm worried about putting it into a wall, or another car.

    That's where I'm at today.

holy crap ur marriage sounds so crazy in a good way like lots of projects and interesting things to do.

Thank you for the thoughts. Sometimes I think I'm just better at following direction than I am at leading. I get overwhelmed with the thoughts of legal paper work and how to start that I just paralyze myself. In my own job I just do what I am told and good at it. It pays ok, too. I just don't have the energy for customer service being an introvert.

Well, Instead of wasting time I'd suggest read books that improve your mental state of mind and induce positive thoughts.

Some of the stuff I'd recommend :-1:

    1. Think and Grow Rich
    2. Mastery - Robert Greene
    3. How to win friends and influence people - Dale Carnegie
    4. Steve Jobs - Walter Isaacson
    5. Meditations - Marcus Aurelius ( Stoicism is soo soo ZEN)

And I totally feel you, I used to be an Engineer earning 100K and was like *kitten* this rat race life where all these muppets are just living paycheck to paycheck , sad on a Monday and happy on a Friday.

I figured in life you only get what you negotiate, not what you deserve ! :)

interesting! my dad is an engineering prof and he is also living that crazy overworked life. i wish he would just retire already and get himself a damn sailboat and be happy. what do you do now?

I'm developing an app and running small bushiness.

As much as retiring and buying a sail boat sounds awesome, after a few days of enjoying I feel irritated and must venture on a new purpose/mission, always need to hunt !!

@MondayJune22nd2015 - wow - haven't done that in YEARS - like since I was a kid. I remember it being fun though. Maybe should put it on my to-do list again for sometime in the near future.

I like kayaking/canoeing but hardly ever do that too.

It's been about a couple of years for me, that's why it's my favorite because I only did it once & desperately desire to do it again/often, especially if I buy my own pedal boat. I reside about a mile from Clementon Park (a small amusement park, that's only open during the Summer) & they have a lake, they use to have a ferry boat in it; which I was only on once also. I just didn't like wearing the life jackets, that they require; I felt like I was being strangled by it.

Hey Everyone, I'm Renée and I'm turning 47 in just over a month. I'm from the US originally but moved to the Netherlands in 1994 and been here ever since. I'm married to a Dutch guy, have 2 stepkids, 4 cats and several fish (it's always changing, the number of fish we have). I am a runner, I love to travel and on my birthday I'm actually starting a year-long education for sports massage. I haven't read all 5 pages of the thread but I will try to catch up to get to know you guys as well.

Hello all...kind of refreshing to post more than two to three word comments.

I am Ria and almost 41...I have teenaged kids that I had young so I am looking forward to having them leave the best so hubby and I can do some of the things we didn't get around to do by when the kids were little. Mainly travelling more and having adventures I missed out on being a mom in my early twenties. My job is very sedentary so I really look forward to my 1.5 hour workouts and in the summer spend as much time by/in the pool as I can. Want to to know anything else feel free to ask. :)
