Tuesday's goal:
- no sugar type snacks, whatever else I do. That's it. I'm going to break the sugar monster's hold on me!
Hmmmm... not quite. I had a 2 biscuits at the conference venue I was working at today. The only good news is that I talked myself out of the 'well I've blown it so might as well carry on' conversation and stopped. Made myself really check in with hunger level (which was generally at 'ravenous' all day today) and what I really wanted, recognising that craving might just be a symptom of something else.
Just asking myself that helped me to break the urge long enough to start doing something else.0 -
Wednesday's goals:

For today, I will work out for 40 minutes
For today, I will stay under my calorie goal and won't over indulge in any single food
For today, I will say out loud the reasons I'm getting healthier. Morning and afternoon
For today, I will review my grateful list and add at least three more

First time in a long time I didn't accomplish a thing on my daily list. Didn't work out in the morning and was off the tracks from there. Finished 60% over my calorie goal.
Good news is aside from my wellness commitments I had a good day. Early start to work and was productive all day.
New day.
For today, I will work out for 80 minutes
For today, I will stay under my calorie goal and won't over indulge in any single food. No chips or cookies
For today, I will say out loud the reasons I'm committed to becoming healthier both morning and afternoon

"You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down."
This describes me - feeling like such a failure. But, being a failure is staying down. Today, I stand up, and get back on track!!!0 -

I saw this quote this morning, and feel exactly like you do. I have tried and tried so many times, "starting over" again and again. But we are only a failure when we give up. I'm starting fresh again today. You are to. We can do this!

Hey guys! I'm new to this thread. I've been having a stressful month.... struggling with eating foods outside of my prepped meals. I feel like I'm losing control, but I know that it's all mind over matter. I can regain control whenever I like. And I'd like for it to be right now! I tend to get overwhelmed and try to do too many things at once. So, just for today...
I am eating mindfully.
I will be especially mindful of hunger cues before bed.
I will get my cardio in.
I accept my past mistakes and acknowledge that this does not define me as a person.
I am working on being free from my sugar cravings.
I will remember that in stressful situations, food does not solve problems. Food does not make me happy.

@joan6630 Everyday that we post on this thread is a triumph. As you said, we only fail if we stop trying.
After 3 days of wedding fever I am back on the train. All went well, it was a perfect day for my daughter and her guests. I'm ready to refocus.
JFT
1. Relish my triumphs.
2. Pre-plan/follow through
3. 40+ minutes each cardio/strength/flexibility exercise.
4. 1.5+ litres of tea/water
5. Shop for groceries
@ciki90 Welcome to the thread. Stick with it.0 -

Good day yesterday.
Worked out for 86 minutes including a 2.5 mile walk at 17:09/mile. Chose one of the steeper routes.
Well under my calorie goal. Ate smart.
Stuck to my commitment of reviewing my list of reasons I'm becoming healthier.
Added 5 items to my grateful list, enjoying reviewing it on a daily basis. Had several conversations with my wife reflecting on our wonderful life and the role she plays in my success.
For today:
I will work out for 80 minutes
For today, I will stay under my calorie goal and will stay away from chips and cookies
For today, I will say out loud my list of reasons I'm becoming healthier. Morning and afternoon.
For today, I will find a couple of new positive wellness podcasts to fill my walks
