Hi all - happy Memorial day.
I spendt the night at a friends house since they didn't want me to be alone for the weekend. Sweet of them.
However, I feel more alone here then at my house.
Trying to stay positive -- knowing ending the relationship was the right thing. It's tough... going to work will be challenging since it was known at work Dave and I were a couple. Church was hard. Folks after service asked me how he was doing.... being polite and saying I'll tell him you asked about him and our relationship ended is tough.

good evenin' everyone...TOM got the best of me yesterday and the first part of today. I was almost in tears the last 2 days b/c I just don't think I can live like this anymore. I know it's usually once a month, sometimes twice, but the toll it takes on me is just not bearable. yesterday my dh asked me if my Dr knew all that happens to me, and today my mom told me not to wait until my annual exam in July and to do something now. I just feel like I am not going to get anywhere since I went thru all this about 6-7 years ago. Yes, I think things are worse, but I saw my dr, and 2 different specialists then and none of their recommendations were a guarantee...so I opted to do nothing. around here they just don't do hysterectomies anymore. I was hoping with the increase in my exercise and eating better it would have made a difference in my cycle this month. I need a day to recover anymore. ok, tmi...sorry ladies.
went to inlaws this afternoon...had typical bbq food. not loggin food, but high in sodium, carbs, sugar, fat...and not enough water. and I missed the Shred today. in fact I did nothing I had planned. hope to feel better and strong enough to get back to it tomorrow.0 -

At work - already got questions on "how's Dave doing..." Sigh....
Stepped on the scale this am and saw a decrease. Could be stress.
Now with my next fitness test in July, I do plan to focus on weight loss. Hopefully lose that 1/2 inch.
I really don't have to test in July - I do have until November. So if I don't think I got the loss, I'll just wait until the following month.0 -
Kelly- Hang in there. I would talk to your dr. maybe something new has become available since your last talk.

Afternoon Pepper's
Yesterday my DH came home from camping trip and today is back to work since last Wed. I have been doing the shred for 15 days. would have been 16 but missed a day last week. Sorry but I am very proud of myself I did not last even 4 days last time I tried this work out and even know the scale says bad things. I am still doing this not giving up. Some days it is a real fight but I am realizing how good this is for me.
Kelly I was really upset that I missed a day last week. Hope you feel better soon :flowerforyou: We are halfway there. Keep going you can do this. If there is a certain time of the day you like to do exercise or a good time stick with the same time. I realized if I dont do it first thing in the morning I wont do it. Still have to fight with myself some mornings but not giving up. You can do this :drinker:
Vita looking good, glad your DH is coming home, keep up the great work. Keeping it off is a battle too
Barb if you know it was the right thing to do you have to go with your heart, refocus keep strong :flowerforyou:
Angie you can do this. Kelly and I are doing the shred it is only a 25 min exercise but after 15 days I can feel it. I will stay on level one until I can do it with out any pause and do the exercises correctly. then the next 30 days will move on up in levels. by then I should be in good shape.

took my older pug Rosie to her first visit at new vet this am. went well. he said she's in pretty good shape for being 11 1/2. has low thyroid and her wt was 21. her heaviest over the years was 26. so that made me feel pretty good. ideal is under 18 for pugs, but he is not concerned. she will be going back with Lily for med level checks in about 3 wks, then in July I think she will have some dental work done. if I don't go to Canada the 24th of June, it will be sooner.
slow goin here today. still have not exercised. upset over in-laws/bil situation. don't know what to think/feel/do. so very hurt right now. been crying a lot and looking forward to seeing dh after work. think i'll go for a walk...hope it helps.0 -
I would say I binged last night.... ate an entire bag of trail mix. I don't know the size of the bag but doesn't matter ate the whole thing. And the scale showed it this morning.
Didn't have motivation for last night's kickboxing class - my mind & body just wasn't into it. I was off in the combinations, felt unable to do kicks, couldn't keep up with the cardio.
Seems I got past the shock of we're done - relationship is over and now my wounded heart is beginning to feel the pain.
Looks like I'm at second stage of the 7 stages of grief. I'm past shock/denial - moved into pain/guilt.
I'm still finding odds and ends of his stuff in the house in places i didn't do a sweep on - like under the bed, in the cedar chest plus mail for him is coming to my house.
Of course the pets are a constant reminder. The dog he's taking... for now I can't have that dog near me.
The birds, fish, rabbit are reminders of items we purchased together. I haven't decided if I'm selling the cockatiel or keeping it.0 -

Barb and Kelly you are going through to much, do what you can and try not to stress :flowerforyou: I know when I am upset binging is right behind but recognizing it is a big step. You will get back to you soon.
Well another day shreded and feeling good about that, staying under calories still sore but working through it. I will be taking myself off that medicine for the diabeties if I still show a gain this week I am doing everything right should be loosing not gaining.

mornin' all...did go on a 4 mile walk yesterday..I didn't think I was ever gonna be back home. wow, no energy. burned almost 500 cals, but I consumed them and MORE. had no appetite during the day and had only eaten a banana, some strawberries and almonds...but during supper prep I had too many Doritos, Reeces Pieces, and we grilled burgers, 80% beef. was not even thinking of my turkey burgers. seemed to feel a little better during the evening, but still very sad today. you all know what it feels like after a day of crying, well, I look pretty bad and still have a headache..kinda foggy. will be meeting my best friend for dinner tonite...at the same place I ate with my mom a week ago. have my meals planned and really want to get back on track. I am at 2 days missed for the Shred, so behind ya a day Cindy. I did notice last nite in the mirror my back is getting more toned. not sure I can get a pic of it, but I was really surprised. wish it was happening more in my triceps and belly. wanted to measure at 2 weeks, but not with TOM. Today is a new month for us all. I looked back and I am 3 lbs lighter than a year ago, (but 7 lbs heavier than '09) and I even went up to 200 last June, and ended at 187. SO, I am gonna set me a wt goal. **178**. Kinda steep, but if I work hard I believe I can do it. I usually have a good loss the first week, then it tapers off. Lots of events coming up in June, and Dr's appt's in July...and blood work in Aug. I really need to do this. I want to feel better. For me.
Cindy ~ you're doing so good with the Shred. I am proud of you!! Are you eating back your exercise calories? I have a hard time doing that. MFP wants my calories around 1350, and I am gonna aim for in between 1500-1600, even after exercising. I need to do better with water too and watch my sodium.
Barb ~ realize that all you are feeling is normal...and just give yourself plenty of time. it's ok to cry, so let the tears fall. it will be hard seeing daily reminders in your house, and having the pets. you have been thru so much and I know you are going to get thru this. keep with that kickboxing or try something new. know that we care and are here for you, always. hugs
Angie ~ I am going to find a different GYN to go to. My family Dr (who is a PA) and the OBGYN that delivered our youngest wants me to have an endometrial ablation (Novasure procedure, they remove the lining of the uterus). Another GYN wanted to give me an IUD. I surely don't need my uterus anymore.

just got thru my first work day, still in pain and waiting to see the surgeon on Friday. not sure what the plan is, most likely surgery YUK!!! Sorry I been out of touch, just havent been able to do anything Just spent the 5 days in bed. So don't even ask about my eating, Friday no eating just fluids. Saturday ate take out sooo bad. Sunday no eating. monday major comfort food orgy!! Tuesday ate a little.
So really wont want to look at scale Friday.

Angie- Glad to see u back and I really enjoyed looking at the pics of ur kido's. They are soooo cute. So ur big guy is in my next of the woods huh, I know you miss him and i am sure he mimss you. But you are a heck of a woman!! I don't know how you do it!! I would be to selfish to share!My hat off to you! Your little guy is really growing, it seems like yesterday u were pregnant.
Cindy- You been working so hard! Don't give up u will see the results soon. Back when I did it the first time I gained weight the first week of the shred. So keep on keeping on.

V- Wow ur moving to my people area!!! While in Bemeton if you happen to find Shaw street that where my uncle lived. In fact that whole area is my peeps, I loved Bemeton back in the day. So many memories, both Grandparent lived there, aunts, great grandmaother, uncles, My parents went to Brementin high.

evenin' team...I have not done very well with my exercise plan this week. I called today and made an appointment with an OBGYN....go next Tues. really hoping to get some answers and/or relief. Looking back to yesterday...I have not had a day like that in a long, long time. I cried all day long. even on my 1 hr walk. I'm still pretty upset about family issues, so it's not all hormones. I tried on a pair of shorts I wore to Vegas, and they were too tight in the abdomen? I thought I was doing better since then, a lot more exercise and eating better. I've never had bloating after my cycle.

Hi ladies...
Last night I finished off the container of ice cream Dave had purchased. Now, no more sweets in the house. The only junk is microwave light popcorn.
Weighed myself today and lost .2lb and .1% bodyfat from day prior. Thinking daily weigh in will keep me on track.
No kickboxing tonight. The class this evening is a $10 fee because it's guest instructor and proceeds are for non profit cancer group. Instead I have a guy coming over to help empty out the attic. Some of the stuff up there belongs to Dave, some Christmas items, some mine.

Well back to work again and it been rough so far. Workin with my manager and showing her what she has to do in my job so she can cover me if I have surgery. It soo sad that she has a PhD and is completely clueless to how much i do! and yet she gets paid the bucks! during the second hour of me showing her stuff (yes she is that slow!) she said you do all this? I still have another hour or two of stuff to go over. sooo sad.
We had to take a break cause she got call on another issue, was so glad because after she left I got up to move a little bit and my shrit was completed soiled with dranage from the abcess. So glad i tought to bring another shrit to work with me. Well seeing the doc tomorrow so hope to fine out more.
Eating was bad yesterday, too tired and hurting to cook so we just went out. nothing sounded good so DD and I split an 3 appertiser thing from Chilis and of course I had 2 diet coke so I was wired after that. Doing so good so far today, hope to stay on track.

Thank you for the well wishes. I am feeling all better. I think I ate something that didn't agree with me. Zan and I went for a walk this morning! Yeah our "cold front" is here now. Yeah is only in the mid to upper 80's instead of mid to upper 90's. Hopefully I will be able to pick up my pool passes today. Our apartment complex has a pool. I can't wait to go swimming! I still am trying to decide about joining a gym.
Jacque- I understand very well about PhD's. My husband is one. I hope you get better soon. It sucks being in pain. :flowerforyou:

almost noon here. been going thru things in oldest son's bedroom (where I slept for a good 2 mos post surgery) OMG! I took out 6 empty boxes from his closet that were taking up so much space. From things he's purchased 1-2 yrs ago. Still need to get a mattress and box springs for the bed, but $ tight for now. cloudy, cool here, low 60's. gonna eat a bite then go for a walk, shred and stretch. think I'll make pasta for supper. have a good day ladies, I'll check back later0

had a friend come over & help me take stuff down from the attic. In less than 30 minutes we were done. I'm thankful not much crap was up there....
All I can say is - he's got till the end of this month to get his stuff out of the garage/shed/backyard.
Not a problem for me to haul anything leftover to the curb for trash day.
Off to read a little of my book before hitting the sheets.

Well today I logged my upped weight from last week that was 205, this week it is 203 so that would be 2 pounds lost this week and an inch and a half on waist, half inch on hips, gained 1 inch on thigh (like I needed to do that):laugh: every thing else is the same this is crazy. I did not do the shred today but will be walking after work today.
I came back from vacation Tuesday and they fired my boss and I will be getting a new manager next week. the one they fired was not doing his job so now have yet to break in another.
But things are getting busy will check back later.0 -
afternoon ladies...made a trip to the city to get some groceries. took some dry cereal, nuts, apple and a Larabar, ate it all. could have so easily done fast food. tomorrow we have a graduation and a wedding so I need to really watch it. I did try on a few things today and I can tell I have improved. Didn't feel awful like I did a few weeks ago. about 10 more lbs and all of my summer shorts should fit. gosh, that could take me til July or longer. The other day I did my waist and it was down 1 1/2 inches. Will get the rest in the am. have a nice evening everyone and a good weekend! warm and muggy here today! yay SUMMER!0

I am up 2 pounds this week. I think I sampled to much when I was baking for Ody's teachers. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day and another chance to do better. Zan's 8th tooth finally is partially through so hopefully he will start sleeping better at night. Boy am I tired. Zan is a very early morning person usually up by 6 AM.
Zan just came back from his playtime with daddy. Now it is time to get ready for bed. Good night ladies!0 -
have a lot to get done today....vacuum two vehicles, laundry, get clothes ready for graduation and wedding, maybe do some cleaning, and EXERCISE!! measurements...this is 18 days of Shred...neck - .25, bust - 1.25, waist - 1 3/4, abdomen - .25, hips -.50, thigh - .25. So, about 4.25 " gone. working out has been pretty consistent.. I have noticed a big change in my strength, endurance, and correct form. still have a long ways to go to get my shoulder strength back. but eating better needs to improve...especially veggies. times like these I wish I had a vegetable garden!

day 2 of no exercise. that's 5 missed workouts. geez...feel like I am really slacking here. a few hours of yard work today. the silver maple seeds are finally done falling, so I was able to get some of them picked up. my mom and Izzi (dog) stopped for a visit...my sister raises chickens, and she brought us some eggs. I used to buy the low chol eggs and eat them boiled, haven't done that in a very long time. dh and son cook a lot of omlets.
yesterday. woke to see my oldest son was home from college...his car was in our driveway. figured he was sleeping in the basement, like always. couldn't find my computer and he uses it a lot when he's home, so went downstairs and got it. ceiling light was on and bathroom door shut, so thought he was in there. well, about 8 am he showed up at our locked deck door, shirtless....totally confused. We have just experienced our first SLEEP WALKING episode. Tyler woke up on the neighbors couch and does not remember anything. A gal about 26 lives there. Her dad works with my dh, and his son/her brother lived there with his wife a couple years. WE lived in this house for 6 yrs. This is so bizarre. Tyler was freaking out for a while, and I was very concerned to the point of taking him to the ER for drug testing. he'd been out with his friends the nite before drinking. was sober when he drove home, used my pc for about a half hour and the last thing he remembers is the pc shutting off/no battery, he was gonna take his contacts out and go to bed. his contacts and shirt were the neighbors BATHROOM! we talked with her this am. She had worked late and got home around 11, watched a movie til 1 am-ish, then went to bed, in a sun room/porch. she woke to her alarm at 8 am, and Tyler had just left her house. she had no idea Tyler was even there, cept when he went back to get his contacts and shirt. she had never seen him before; they were 5 years apart in school. when he returned to get his stuff, she didn't know what he was talking about, and didn't believe him, but she did find his things....and her comment was "don't do this again'. she said she figured it was some dude, that was at the ball diamond just down the street, that got drunk and ended up in her house. (yes, her house was NOT locked!) Tyler said when he woke up he was on the couch and couldn't find his shirt or contacts. when she gave him the contacts, they were in HER case, not his. we still cannot believe this happened. actually, Tyler is a little scared now, and I am very concerned. dh says we need to put a cow bell on his foot. ha ha not funny. who knows what he did when he left our house...did he go driving? walking around town? he did tell us he's been under a lot of stress with the college orientation/job this week. his day starts at 7:30 am and ends around 10:30 pm. plus, he has been taking Allegra for his allergies and Friday he took it at 7pm, instead of am...then went drinking. We do have *sleepwalkers* on both sides of the family, but this is a first for us. quite concerned for him while he's away at college...0
