i wanted to see if anyone has a 21 day fix group starting August 31? I did great in my first couple rounds bc my coach was wonderful and I had so much motivation in our Facebook groups. Now she's just not that into anymore and I've really fallen off the wagon. My weight has stayed the same since June, aside from gaining a few pounds this past week. I really need support in this. I am in a wedding October 4 and would like to look my best.

My understanding is that it's over priced specialised Tupperware for putting food in?

    But really not sure.

There's more to it. It's also 7 day work outs and eating plan. The Tupperware helps teach portion control.

Whoa. We got 21 day fix and Beachbody in the same thread. I'm freaking out.

They're both a waste of money. Eat at a deficit for free on MFP.

Having a daily calorie budget and not wanting to exceed it was all I needed for portion control.

But for those of you who find the 21 Day Fix helpful to jump start your weight loss, enjoy!

    How much is it?

So they give you a work out plan and tupaware containers. Do they provide the food?

Do you see in the bolded line the problem with these 'quick fixes'? Stop thinking of weight loss as some fast little fix. It's a life long journey to your goal weight, and then beyond continuing your maintenance. Learn how to eat properly by eating in moderation, weighing your food so you know what the correct serving sizes are, and log them to keep within your calorie deficit.
Weight loss is not about a quick fix to look your best in a month or two for a wedding, it's about learning to eat right for life and your health.

I don't plan to use the Tupperware in the kit. I am already happy with my meal planning and dietary choices. I do plan to use the videos and the shakeology for breakfast when I'm on the go. If it weren't shakeology it would be a protein shake or other comparable thing. I don't skip lunch or dinner...but with the kiddos a shake is the best way for me to have "food" in the am.

With the 21 day fix I'm looking for variety, plain and simple. I don't have much weigh to lose as I maintain pretty well doing my tried and true. But variety is the spice of life I've heard. B)

I figure people will either revert or keep up their new habits. Everyone has a choice to make regardless of what path they follow. :p

I am interested to see what results I can achieve if I put the pedal to the metal. I'm training for a half marathon too (my third), so this ought to be interesting!

I'm your girl 'ginadnorris'! I have a wedding to attend October 3rd weekend and would love to look my best, while also using the occasion to begin getting in better shape. How would be best to keep in touch to motivate each other and hold each other accountable? I planned to start Monday too so it's perfect!

I ordered the program and received it in the mail yesterday. Honestly, after reading all the information I'm sending it back. I don't have time to be using tally sheets and remembering how often I have or have not filled a colored container, and how many of what/when I'm suppose to eat it. I'd rather make healthy caloric choices and come back here to track my calories. Much simpler.

Is that why my post says it buried? All I said was that they cry on day 22. How is that offensive? How stupid

Day 22, you look at what you've accomplished. Whether you lost 5lbs. or 15lbs. You re-assess how well you stuck with the program, so you know why you lost less than you should have or more. Now you have developed NEW clean eating habits, so you continue eating clean as everyone should, and keep exercising using a new Beachbody program or you repeat the 21 Day Fix and try to commit even more. The more you commit the better the results.

I recommend after 21 days, you take a one week break from following the program verbatim, and just eat as clean as you can allowing for cheat meals on the weekend (binge drink) whatever floats your boat, then starting the program over. Do this until you get to your desired weight. This is what I did.

I lost 30lbs. doing this. I now do strictly Body Beast after slimming and toning for the summer in the spring, and am now bulking heading into the fall. However, I am still eating clean. Meaning I am back up to 3,500-4,000 calories a day from 2,000, lifting via Body Beast and haven't gained a single pound of fat back!

This is what happens after Day 21 if you are committed to doing the program, if you are serious about your goal, if you stop making excuses and actually WANT results.

Oh, sometimes crying when you realize you failed miserably and refuse to own the fact that you really didn't bother to change any of your eating habits or not really doing the exercises at some random convenience and expecting results. You know, the typical cycle most people repeat constantly, then get bitter, resentful and hateful because its everyone and everything's fault but their own. This last paragraph is almost the definition of crazy.

Clean eating has no definition. You can fit whatever you want into those containers. Is developing the habit of putting all your food into containers sustainable long term?

Slimming and toning doesn't exist. You either lose fat, or build muscle. No one eating at a calorie deficit is building muscle, either.

How do you know you haven't gained back a single pound of fat? Do you get regular DEXA scans?

Just pointing out for everyone that most of these claims you're making sound so great, but there's a lot of woo here.
