Hi
I have been eating healthy for about 9 months now, I don't eat meat not because
I have views in killing animal but because I am sick of eating rubbish meat not knowing how it was killed and cleaned and what it has been injected with "yuck"
I don't eat any fried food, any fats ie butter cream etc
I don t eat cake etc
Only small amount of bread per werk
I work out at 4 classes a week
I run and bike most weeks
SO WHY DON'T I LOSE THIS EXTRA WEIGHT !!

Because your consuming more calories than you are burning off.
I eat cake, I eat bread, I eat take aways every now and then, I eat icecream. I don't eat over my calories so I don't gain weight.
It isn't about what you eat, it is about how many calories you eat and how many you burn. If you burn 3500 more calories a week you will lose 1lb.0 -
Losing weight is not about the "type" of food. It is how "much" food.
Be patient.0 -
I eat 100 for breakfast
164cal shake for lunch
500 cals for dinner
600 when worked out
I bike about 30 miles that's 2004 cals
Excise 4 times a week at about 500 cals each class.
I work night shift nursing so walk alot .

Maybe it takes time to kick in0 -
Have you been advised by a doctor to stick to 800 calories per day? That's super low. I'd investigate your logging a little. I see a bunch of 'x eggs' and '1 cup' and '1 portion'.0

I just looked at your diary. You're not weighing your food.
You need to watch this:

Fats are part of a normal healthy diet. I'd suggest consulting a medical professional before making any further radical changes to your diet because of past experience.0 -

Wow you have been through the mill! A hug to you.
Fats didn't cause any of that to happen, we need dietary fats in our diets. They insulate us and move our vitamins around our bodies to name just a few of there uses.0 -
You need to get past the idea its about the types of food you are eating and look more closely at the amount.
You are eating more thna you think and burning less with the result being you are at maintenance and not at the deficit you need to lose. If you have just over a stone to lose and its not gone in 9 months then its not being impatient thats the problem. If you have veen losing slowly then your deficit is smaller than you realise.0 -
Have you had your thyroid checked?0

No comment on your guesstimating portion sizes?
Or do you only want to hear what you are telling yourself?
It's a scientific fact we ALL underestimate what we are eating. Numerous studies have proven this. By weighing our food and logging everything, we are doing our very best, but even even even then we have problems. You're nowhere near that stage, and have much to learn. Be honest with yourself, my dear fellow MFPer. You deserve accuracy and efficacy.0 -
A clogged heart isn't caused just by eating fat, one of it's causes is an excess of saturated fat over time. Again I echo my statement to seek out a medical professional instead of putting yourself on a strange diet without diagnosis.0
