I'm 27 and 5'3. I started out at 173lb and I ate 1520 cals to lose 40lbs at an average rate of 0.5lb/week.0

Maintaining gw of 133lbs for over a year.

I'm 'lightly active' I guess? I run like 5/6 times a week and lift 3. I've gotten a little lax about these last 10 lbs, so these days I cycle my calories based on how hungry I am. Some days I'll eat 2200cals, and others I might have 1300. I just try to keep to an overall deficit of around .5lbs a week.
I've lost about 20lbs since May. I started out at 180-190lbs, but that was years ago. It's been a long journy, haha.0 -

I try to gym minimum 3 days/week (weights) - one day I do boxing and on the weekends I swim laps saturday mornings for 25 minutes (while my daughter is at her lesson, then we play for a bit) and am generally active over the weekend. If I don't gym I walk at least 45 mins. I SHOULD be weight lifting 4 days with the 1 day off boxing session but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way...0 -

Not too far off....eating 1200 calories per day
Run 4 miles 5 days a week. ...don't eat exercise calories back unless it's a special event.

To help people, I must say you must eat 50-75% of your exercise calories back! You need to fuel your body!
Otherwise you run the risk of:- crashing and burning
- period loss (for women)
- hair loss
- fingernail loss
- bingeing
- yoyoing back to worse than before after hitting your goal.
It's not worth it!
Your MFP goal already lets you lose weight. It's dangerous and stupid to not eat the calories you're given.0 -

As for Calories...
I do alternate day fasting, so eat between 3-500 calories on fast days.
On other days I eat to my BMR, so I ate closer to 1500 at the start of my weight loss and just over 1400 now. I try to meet my requirements for fats and protein on these days, and also take multivitamins on fasting days.
I Began fasting in May, when I weighed 182 pounds. I've been fasting just over 20 weeks (5 months), and have lost around 1.5 ibs a week doing it.
