Struggles this week: Rough week. I was on a roll with a 1.1 lb/week average and then this week blew it to a 0.6 lb/wk avg. Problem was, I was feeling down and stressed and skipped 3 days of exercise. Then my bike started getting flats and pissing me off. I tried to but couldn't eat less than my usual amount. I usually create my deficit from exercise so this week I exercised at less than half the usual volume and so was eating at close to maintenance for the reduced level of activity.
The extra 0.4 is most likely water weight and I expect it should come off next week plus another 1.5 lb. This week I've started running/walking to supplement my cycling. I plan to do at least 1 hr daily. To make up for this week, I might add another hr of some other exercise. I'll still be satisfied if I get to my revised goal.0 -

Successes/struggles this week:
Week 1: Good week. Still walking about 8+ miles a day plus calorie deficit works well for me. I don't eat my exercise calories either and that helps as well. I would like to see Onederland by the end of next weigh in. Haven't been there in a long time, 20 years or more probably.
Week 2: Did it! Finally made Onederland this week. Next week will be difficult with an out of town visitor and travel also. Haven't done any traveling in quite some time so I anticipate it may be difficult to stick to my somewhat rigid eating and exercise regime. I will see but will do my best and still have fun.
Week 3: Not surprised by the weight gain. Traveling and dining out every meal was fun but it had consequences on the weight. Back home and company leaves tomorrow so should be back on track next week.

Weight lost/gained this week: -2.7kg
Weight lost/gained this month:-3.3kg
Successes/struggles this week:
•I so didn't expect to reach my goal this month let alone break through it. But I was expecting a woosh and it more than happened.
•I've been fiiting in activities and workouts where I can. And I've been making sure that I clock over 10,000 steps at least 3 times a week. I started a personal challenge of 1000minutes of exercise in a month and completed week 2. So I think that kept me motivated.
• It was Eid and only for that day I changed my calorie goal to maintenance so that I can enjoy the festival. However, I still didn't go overboard even though I had treats all day. What I've learnt from that day is that, yes, keeping below calorie is the only thing needed for weight loss but the food choice has a huge effect on feeling full and satisfied or not.
LOOKING FORWARD FOR NEXT MONTHS CHALLENGE!0 -

I'm not sure where you got that this is a waste of time... Some people on here have no one supporting or motivating them on making their decision to make a life style change, so they come here where other people are in the same boat. You're right, it is a life style change. But sometimes you still need a little encouragement along the way.
Congratulations on the 50kg weight loss. And to everyone else on here who is kicking booty and continuing on the path to a better you.
