Oh because my mind went to eating them (which I know some people like). I just gross out easily. :)

Oh, I didn't even think of that. Ugh, I'm tired. ;-)

If it weren't for my horse i wouldn't have spent that year in college.

Where does this come from? My husband says that all the time and can't remember where he got it!

There's also pit viper snake, squid, beef tongue, etc. in case horse meat doesn't suit your fancy...

Clicked on this thread hoping for some genuine horse discussion but after reading thru each post a few times I have not seen the correlation. I had a lot to say on seabiscuit...
Was looking for discussion of Mr. Ed, but I feel that possibility has been gelded.

The "Iron Chef" had an episode in which the secret ingredient was trout and one of the chefs made trout ice cream. Yuck!!

I don't believe you, there's something fishy about your claim of that as an episode.

How do you not punch people in the face when they get on them?

    Asking for a friend.

    :)

    Smile and nod.

Unless it's my advice..then you should follow every bit to the letter. ;)

I thought they might be expanding the Colorado marijuana laws. :D

Well racehorses are pretty high. They make competitive cyclists look drug free.

You wouldn't want to eat them, though.

Although I get tons of weight loss advice, I have never heard anyone in real life get on a dietary high horse. The "My diet is better than your diet!" stuff has only happened online.

I've had people discourage my weight loss and make fun of the weighing and healthy eating, but I cut those friendships off. To everything there is a season, you know? Time to move on.

On rare occasions, I've encountered the vegan who tells everyone why they're vegan, but it's a rare occurrence and has not been my typical experience with vegans.

My dad does it. However his "advice" is really laughable. And I'm pretty sure my bmi is lower than his. So I'll go ahead and eat pizza, fries, and avocados in moderation.

I've also run into a few others in real life, but then I go home and do my own thing.

I have a coworker who said she ate healthy all week but didn't lose any weight. I immediately asked if she logged what she ate. Then she came back with she'd rather be healthy than thin.

We also had a "discussion" about protein in avocados. I'm pretty sure the words, "It's not a good source of protein and I can prove it" came out of my mouth. :)

My dad's issue with avocados is mainly that he doesn't like them. So nobody should eat them. So he uses the 1980's "they are high in fat" excuse since he would look as crazy as he is if he used the first one.
