I would like to attempt this. I have been trying to find ways to enjoy walking. I have been doing between 1.5-2miles a day for the last 3 weeks. I often find other work outs more enjoyable, but this is definitely relaxing.

It's a great way to unwind, just pop your trainers/shoes on, put some music on, and walk it all away.

I love these walking challenges, they always give me the little bit of extra motivation to get out and move everyday.

:# Only a few more months until Xmas - that's motivation for you :p

I'm in. I walk 4 miles on my lunch hour when the weather is nice. I'll try to do by Leslie Sansone walking DVD when it's not (I hope walking in place counts). I also hike.

Any walking/steps count - good luck

I'm in! My main form of exercise is walking. I'm probably going to start C25K next week! :) Anyone feel free to add me! ☺

Hey, welcome! C25k is a great programme - good luck. :)

Count me in!! Would benefit me and my dogs!! Goal would be at least 60 minutes 5 days a week.

That's a great goal!! The dog will be a good motivator to get out I'm sure! Good luck :#

I'd love to be a part of this. Lately i've lost my motivation and walking have been always a favorite form of exercising (though running is the best). I pledge to walk every day no matter what!

Hey, welcome! We all loose track from time to time. Good thing is, you're here and getting back on it!

Start off walking and I'm sure you'll be back to running in no time!! good luck

This sounds like a fun challenge. I'll just have to remember to check in everytime I log some miles.

I'm in! I'm just recovering from the flu so I can't start today but my target is 70,000 per week. I'd love to do 10,000 per day but with a 1 yr old, 3yr old and a desk job it's tough. I have to be more of a weekend warrior. Before I got ill I did 26 miles in 5 days!

I'm in! My goal is to walk 50 miles total this month. Not sure if it'll happen, but it seems like a good number. Hit 2.69 miles today! Hope no one minds if I keep track in this thread?

    10/1 - 2.69 miles

    Goal: 50 miles
    Total: 2.69 miles
    Remaining: 47.31 miles

I'm in again. Still having troubles with my ankles and feet but even a little is good. My ongoing goal is 30 minutes of exercise a day. Good for us.

I'll join as well. I've lost my motivation for exercise and am being bogged down by other stresses. Walking seems like a good way to combat both of these.
  • Hi, my first day here. I've been walking since January 2015. I do the Leslie Sansone walking workouts as certain health issues prevent me from high impact. I walk 6 days/week.
    10/1- 6 miles

My goal is to average over 13,000 steps a day

:) I carry my Omron pedometer with me all the time so this is all my walking for each day.

Dark nights indeed, we are sort of out in the woods and I've had to use a headlamp a few times when I didn't get a walk in until after dinner.

Slow start, but it is a start at least. Had to force myself to get in my 30 minutes. But I did it at least. These goals really help me.

    Good luck to everyone.

I am trying to finish work bang on 5.15 so I can go straight out and get back before it's completely dark
