We went to Joe's Crab Shack down by the river for lunch today. I had their crab cake sandwich with siracha mayo, and fries. I also had a drink they call the shark bite. You're supposed to "scream" when the red grenadine is poured into the blue drink from the shark's mouth. I passed on the screaming. I'll pass on the drink next time. Way too sweet.
For dinner Tonight was some homemade pink beans with corn, spinach and a turkey hot dog; brie on toast; and some cherry tomatoes from the neighbor's garden.

My friend made lunch for me today. Omurice, Japanese chicken curry and kimchi. Soooo good! In exchange I gave her a couple of doodles for her to paste for her decoupage project. Scratchings for full on lunch - I think I got the better bargain!

My husband concocted this a few months ago and we've been making it ever since. It's basically 2.5-3lbs of boneless skinless chicken thighs mixed with 8oz sliced mushrooms, 3-4 chopped artichoke hearts, a chopped jar of roasted red pepper, and a lot of fresh basil. Mix in a little worcestershire and some beer and bake until done. I add some capers and fresh basil on the leftovers.
The mashed cauliflower is just a simple cauliflower and skim milk concoction. I keep it frozen in small portions.

Don't judge, this was actually amazing. leftover gyro sub sandwich turned panzanella salad. Chopped gyro with tzatziki, & lamb meat, chopped onion, tomatoes, persian cucumbers, & parsley. topped with masago for a little saltiness and sriracha for a little kick.
