    I think I'll go with the reduce group but may change it later to maintain depending on how I feel if I get down to 130. There's a 2 week vacation planned in August and since it's a road trip I'm hoping to get in a lot of walking.

    Vic sorry to post twice but I weighted in the next day, my normal weigh in day, and I lost 1.20lbs so I wanted to update my original post but it wouldn't let me edit it. If its a problem then no biggie!

    Just letting everyone know that I will post our very first chart tomorrow on a NEW THREAD. When I post that chart I ask that you look over your numbers and let me know if there is anything that needs to be changed (misspelled names, wrong start/goal weights, etc). Check your goals and see if they are REALISTIC. A good rule to remember that losing 1-2 lbs a week (for an average sized person) is healthy/safe. I want each and every one of you to experience success. You want to challenge yourself to do your best, but you also want to make sure that the goals you set can be attained.

    Best wishes to all of you!! I look forward to spending 12 wonderful weeks with you. :bigsmile:

    Hoping I'm not too late to take part! Just joined MFP as I'm getting married on Sept 7th and need some motivation; the timing of this challenge seems perfect :) I'll be leaving the UK on Aug 30th to fly out to the US for the wedding but hoping I can find wi-fi somewhere so I can keep checking in right til the end.

    Current weight - 192lb
    Goal weight - 180lb (going to aim for that but if I manage more then great!)
    Category - reduce

    I've got a dress fitting at the beginning of August so hoping to be near goal by then - good luck everyone!

    I hope I can do this, I find as I am losing weight (lost 55 pounds so far), it is getting harder to lose the weight.
