Thank you The biggest change I've made is to start consulting a registered dietitian. I realized that I was not able to maintain a good diet with everything that I have going on. The professional help has accelerated my progress.0 -

Hey READYFORWEIGHTLOSS...
I just saw your post! I'm so sorry you've struggled! Where are you at? Weight can fluctuation from day to day and week to week depending on many factors. Women can vary from month to month cyclically, retaining water, etc... so I wouldn't worry so much about 1 pound. Today begins week 7 so let's rally and push these next two weeks to ramp up for the holidays. Stay strong and be courageous! You can do this!0 -

So NOW today as we push toward our FALL WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE goals, let's pay close attention to how we respond to life and circumstances, and make the changes that are necessary in order to always do what is right and good. Always choose the most righteous option in making your decisions.

Weekly Loss: 4 lbs
Total Loss: 13.4 Lbs
So this week has been way to good to me. I finally had my tattoo appointment that I have had booked for 7 months! I was given strict orders not to work out for 1 full week. THAT WAS HARD! I wanted to go to the gym so bad, but I suffered through with just walking the dog for a few miles here and there. I continued to eat the same way except Saturday. We had a party and I was very mindful of my food intake but it wasn't things I'd usually eat.
I lost a whopping 4lbs this week and I don't know how!!! Maybe it was the fact that I switched it up and didn't go to the gym? Who knows! I ain't complaining though. I am now 2.6 lbs from my goal weight for this challenge. I am hoping to get there before next weigh in and re-adjust my goal.
If you are struggling, please DO NOT give up. I struggled the first few weeks as you can tell by my gains.
It does not get easier, it just sucks less. These are lifetime changes we are trying to make here, its gonna be tough and you are going to want to quit. Every time I want to skip working out, or every time I wanna eat that extra helping of food, I think of where I was and where I am today and WHERE I AM GOING.

Probably won't make it to my lofty goal by the end of the month but I'm thrilled with as far as I have made it. That puts me at 75lbs lost total since I started my journey in March.
My body has a pattern of dropping several pounds and then holding steady for a few weeks no matter what I do. I didn't check in last week but I had lost 5lbs in one week. 1lb this week.0 -

ENCOURAGING WORD...
Yikes, sugary drinks can be the culprit! Here's what Marion Nestle of Food Politics says...
"The relationship between soft drink (fruit juice, alcoholic drinks, sugared coffees etc...) consumption and body weight is so strong that researchers calculate that for each additional soft drink (sugary drink) consumed, the risk of obesity increases 1.6"
We are on our last two weeks of this challenge, if sugary drinks are a problem for you....why not try giving them up and watch the scale go down.0 -

This had to happen I've lost nearly 25 lbs since June without a stall. It's no big deal. I'll just be more tight with my logging this week and watch the carbs.0 -
DOUBLE DOSE OF ENCOURAGEMENT...
Have you considered how many calories you are consuming verses how much your body needs to just be stagnant. Calories in and calories out are important when trying to lose weight, and calculating your BMR basal metabolic rate is key. Here is a link where you can calculate your own BMR. Try it and see what your BMR is compared with your actual intake/output day calories. http://www.lowfatlowcarb.com/toolbox-bmr.php0
