I have been stuck here 10 days now. Really watching my CICO but the scale still has 1.4 to get to 20 pounds lost. I am thankful NY is still a month away. Lost some inches in this 10 days, though, so I am celebrating that. The scale frustrates me!0

Thank you NezyRumRu I only lost 0.1 I am so glad to lose this cause thanksgiving I was expecting a gain from deciding to eat whatever I wanted for that day and if I gained to have no regret this is something I believe is a must if we decide to eat wrong to not regret.But we do have to eat better the rest of the week I have known some people that have a cheat week and lose but for me I do not want to do this maybe when I get down to my goal I will till then I will do it for special occasions like thanksgiving,Christmas,my anniversary,my bday,not to say if people decide to never let it go that they are wrong.We all are right if whatever works for that person works,I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving and if you have a gain please keep trying do not give up on yourself you can do it.It is hard but worth it.0

On Wednesday I was 147.8 (my lowest weigh in) and this morning I was 151. 8. Going to let any water weight settle before I start panicking lol that's what I get for all the beer this weekend0

it will start again mine has but only about a pound a week. this is supposed to be a healthy rate but it seams so slow. to be honest my goal for this year from april when i started to april next year was only 52 pounds and i am well on my way to that0 -

to all new people 20 pounds in a month is not healthy unless you are just starting out then a lot will be water weight 10 or even 5 is a better goal0

If one hasn't lost at least 15lbs since September (haven't seen a lot that wanted to still responding) then hitting 20lbs by the end of the month isn't likely.
Understand it's great to have goals, but the goals need to be reasonable. Sure it's great to lose a lot of weight in short period of time, but people that do it that way went through extreme calorie deficits and aren't likely to sustain even close to that type of eating for LIFE.

I know how you feel, I have lost nothing for about 4 weeks but have gone down half a dress size!! We must remember that the scale is not the only thing to think about although sometimes its hard!!!0 -

I would love to do this! I'm new to the mfp community could would seriously love to do something to motivate me my current weight is 180, goal weight by January is 160 and ultimate goal weight is 1300

Well, I have been hovering around 149 for several weeks so I do not think I am going to make my goal, which is okay. My loss rate has slowed significantly as I am nearing my goal, plus I lift weights, so NSVs are becoming more and more important as I am more in a recomp phase right now. I think my revised goal for January 1st is 146.0 -

This thread was started September 1st. That gave people 4 months to lose 20 pounds, which is a pretty healthy and attainable goal. One month is not. If I were you, I would shoot for 5 pounds between now and New Years.0 -

Weight as of September 1st- 161 lbs.
Weight as of today (Oct 23)- 152 lbs
Desired weight by New Years-142

Just keep plugging away, Liz. The weights really change the scale loss but I am finding they add so much to inches lost which is really my goal.
You still have 26 days. A lot can happen in that time! You may end up closer to you desired 142 than you estimate!

As of today, I have .6 pound to my goal for New Year: 155.
I think my body is pretty much done losing weight and I am going to have to forget my final goal weight of 145. I mostly need recomposition.
Now to figure out how to eat and workout to accomplish that!0 -
