    That beautiful sundress in the back of your closet that technically 'fits', but you won't wear because it's sooooo tight?
    Yeah. 80 lbs down, and it fits beautifully. Everywhere but my chest. This thing used to hold my boobs up all by itself, now I need a bra? And a strapless one at that, which I still can't find in my size for a price I'm willing to pay, so I STILL CAN'T WEAR THIS SUNDRESS!!!

    AARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I experienced something like this with a top I like. I could wear it before, but thought it would look nicer if I lost some weight. I was right ... sort of. It hangs better everywhere except that it really needs boobs. I have lost quite a bit there, but in that top, I now look concave!! Yikes!!! I'm going to have to stuff a bra with socks or something in order to wear it. :lol:

    If the bust of something article of clothing no longer fits (or never fit) right, that's where knowing a talented tailor/seamstress is key.

    Tailoring clothes versus trying to wear something off the rack is the secret weapon of the small busted woman to go from looking good to great. Without breaking out the padded bras/socks/rice bags/falsies/etceteras.

    I lost almost 75 now and when people say "wow you look like you lost alot of weight" I think they are just being nice. I mean I bet they are right but I can hardly see a difference

    I never saw the difference until, I printed out two face pics of me and laid them side by side at 50 pounds. Then it clicked.

    I echo so many of ^^^ the posts above - they ring with my truth.

    I think the biggy for me is the brain not catching up. Two years in maintenance and my silhouette, my reflection and the size of clothes I wear still surprise me.

    Ditto to everything! Plus I get more guys hunting me down just to say hi....LOL! Also asking if I'm single...I'm handling it a lot better than I thought I would

    Thanks. I actually thought I'd posted this in the latest nsv's thread lol. But I guess it can fit in here. Nobody told me I'd be able to run 8 miles after losing weight hehe

    I took my nephew to a work Christmas event and my coworkers were doting over him while asking how much weight id lost and I was able to say, "well, more then him!" I wore him in a baby carrier (he's 8 months old and weighs about 8kg) and it felt weird thinking that this kid weighed less then what I had lost yet he was so heavy!

    mariamathsgeek - I read this thread every night and your comments are so true for me -

    Agree, my resilience for dealing with all sorts of stress has improved dramatically since dropping from overweight to normal. I not only have better reserves but give less of a f@&k what anyone else thinks as well! Win win.

    When I hear songs I workout to OUTSIDE of the studio.

    (1) keeps me up on popular music with the younger crowd.

    (2) serves as a reminder of my goals

    That a year goes by fast. I'm so glad I started when I did. I have a projection of 4-6 months to goal weight and it doesn't seem right after having tried so long before and not getting anywhere. It's like, no, it really is still working.

    Congrats!! I dropped off pretty hard after June. This year is to complete this step of the journey!!

    Making this thread (and others) my daily devotional.

    I have lost about 30lbs. I am shocked by how many clothes I have had to give away or donate. I didn't even think I had that many clothes, but I've probably gotten rid of 3-4 garbage bags worth! I need to start being more frugal until I get to goal! I guess I went a bit crazy last year because my weightloss was so slow.
