Workout at home too, so no "gym" bag... though I carry a backpack when I hike. That has snacks, water pouch, first aid kit, knife, pepper spray, waterproof cell pouch, hat and gloves (depending on time of year), emergency poncho, flashlight, emergency whistle, printed map of the route (easier to read than on phone), bug spray... from the top of my head
Ugh, looking at that list, I feel like an overgrown boy scout, but better safe than sorry! Trust me, I often take 8+ mile hikes, so it pays to be prepared. Plus any extra weight in my pack adds to the weight loss effect... ;-)0 -
Running shoes in the bag and wear chucks to lift. HRM strap. Exercise towels. Crystal Light Packets. Head phones. Dip belt.0

Your pack sounds great. You should check out the show 'Survivorman' if you have not yet. The more prepared the better!

Oh man my bag is filled with so much crap. A pair of running shoes and a pair of lifters, weight belt, wrist wraps, thumb protectors, shin compression sleeves, KT tape, gymnastics grips, spare socks, spare tights, a speed rope, a ped egg, ear buds, collars, water and a bunch of snacks. I really like snacks.0

Used to carry the toiletry stuff when I used the showers but no longer.
As of now, chalk, squat and cross training shoes, extra set of gym apparel + socks, extra headphones, protein powder, sugar, foam roller, and gum.

First off I'm generally brand agnostic but my gym bag is a Nike I've been using since my aunt gave it to me in 1992. Apparently its unable to be killed. I keep thinking "eh, maybe I'll buy a new bag" but I never do because I'm pretty sure it won't last nearly as long as this one.
In my gym bag full time:
Soap, shampoo, deodorant, comb, hair stuff, 2 sets of straps, 3 sets of earbuds, 1 possibly working mp3 player, 1 working mp3 player, notebook, 3 pens, short foam roller, lacrosse ball, extra belt (regular belt for when I inevitably forget one for work).
Transient stuff: towels, work shoes, work clothes, etc.0 -
Shower sandals
Shorts
T-shirt
Clean socks/underwear
Whatever shoes I need for that day's session
Deodorant
Hair brush
Foot spray
Q-tips
MP3 player w/ headphones
Lock for locker
Notepad
If deadlift day, homemade jack so I can easily load the 2nd+ plates on the bar
On heavy squat/DL days, weight belt0
