I ran across this quote the other day, and it really struck me. So often I tend to beat myself up over how badly I have screwed up. But really, what's the point?
Learn from your mistakes, but don't live in your past.
Live FOR your future!

I wish I could have taken a photo of this guy with a badly atrophied arm spotting for his buddy (who appeared to have CF). It would be captioned what he was shouting in encouragement - "AIN'T NO REASON YOU CAN'T MAN!" [safety note in case anyone is worried: regardless of physical disadvantages, these chaps obviously knew what they were doing]
Next time I feel like it's all just too much, this guy will be in my head shouting "AIN'T NO REASON YOU CAN'T MAN!"
I ran the Spartan Sprint a couple of weeks ago, and there was a guy next to me with NO LEFT HAND! What?! I told myself right then, that I had no bloody excuses to skip an obstacle or not do a burpee. wow.

I've developed turf toe and can't jog for now. I'm a cardio person and have jogged my whole life but to keep working out I started using dumb bells with the Body Beast DVD. Today I got my first curl barbell and a couple of weights. I'm 61 and it's never too late to start something new. I'm growing to really like doing weights and recently bought an assist band to help with chin ups.3 -
