    Egg yolks=high cholesterol is wrong!!! Egg yolks help lower cholesterol!! But the main thing here is if eating all your yolks put you over your calories for the day then you won't lose fat but if they don't then eat them!!! The yolks contain lots and lots of vitamins and minerals if I ate all my yolks I'd go WAY over so I use only a couple because I love them but I also have an abundance of home grown eggs and my dogs love the yolks so I don't feel like I'm wasting them either!

    Egg yolks get such a bad rep. They're nutritious and the best dang part of the egg! Eat your yolks children

    I love yolks - they're the yummy part. Also, the fats in there are healthy and there's even evidence that they help fight "bad" cholesterol (I have no research on hand to back this up- google it, I guess). The only reason to avoid them is to drastically cut back on calories.

    Egg yolks big thumbs up. 4 eggs today. 2 morning and 2 at night. The incredible edible egg! :)

    For nutrition - Yolk
    You have to find your balance somewhere in the middle. Personally, depending on how vigorous I work out determines my yolk vs. no yolk days.

    People get freaked out by the weirdest things. A large egg is 70-80 calories. If you can't balance that into your diet, that's not an egg problem. You're gonna get cholesterol from any other animal product, likely more than in the egg.

    Well, see...fat is an essential nutrient so not something to be really scared of...dietary fat doesn't make you fat, eating too many calories makes you fat.

    Also, I wouldn't exactly call an egg yolk "full of fat". Beyond that, the yolk has protein and is a substantial source of other micro nutrients. You get none of those nutrients if you're just eating the white.

    I eat whole eggs...if I need to bulk them up I will add whites from a carton, but most of the actual nutrition is in the whole egg.

    Yolks are the best part. I almost always eat 2 or 3 whole eggs daily.

    Sometimes at the end of a day and I'm low on calories I will eat 1 whole egg (have to have at least one yolk cuz otherwise ew) and several egg whites scrambled with some mushrooms and serrano pepper. My German Shepherd gets the yolks then. He loves eggs.

    I asked my trainer about this and he said yolk because it does have healthy fats. So I use 1 whole egg and supplement with egg whites for omelettes

    Egg whites are solely for adding protein when I don't have many calories available and need more protein. For breakfast, it is eggs, 2-3 fried over very light with a slice of toast. And sometimes bacon.

    Definitely, to yolk! I typically eat two whole eggs a couple times each week.

    Runny yolks over quinoa are the bomb.com. Half of the protein in an egg is in the yolk. If you just really cannot fit it into your calories, skip it. But if you eat them, they'll def keep you full longer.

    Always whole egg. It is much more nutrient. Unless you have some medical issue which restricts you from yolks for some reason, always eat it.

    Real eggs. The whole egg, white, yolk the whole darn thing.

    Egg beaters are yucky, and they have a funny after taste.

    its pretty agreed upon these days that egg cholesterol doesn't really affect your cholesterol. I always yolk... making deviled eggs as we speak.

    With your current body fat %, i wouldnt try to gain muscle (essentially, this means you would be gaining weight). At that %, you should still have a small deficit, try to get about .8g of protein per lb of mass and continue to lift to help cut the fat. Once you are closer to 20% then a bulk could be considered.

    Keep in mind that gaining actual muscle, not to be confused with more efficient muscles, is difficult to achieve while cutting fat, especially for women.

    Fat from the egg yolk is great for you! I personally like to eat high volume, so I don't eat the whole egg very often. I'll do a ton of egg whites, and add avocado to get my fats. Or bacon.

    Yolks! Plus the whole egg is awesome it's the perfect ratio of fat and protein (think a complete protein?) in one neat package.

    Plus the yolks are just so freakin' yummy and more filling than just egg whites.

    OOOhhhhhhhh sooooo happy to hear this! I have high cholesterol and was worried about yolks. I read eggs are extremely healthy. Was hoping it was true.

    For breakfast, I eat my eggs hard boiled. Yolks are a must.

    I tried using carton egg whites for scrambled eggs, but they came out really rubbery.
    Unless a recipe calls for egg whites, I'll probably just use the whole thing. Heck, I've even replaced the egg whites I used to keep with real egg product. :p
