I do most of my walking around the house, I try to get up and move at least once an hour. I also try to walk 30 or more minutes while watching Netflix. I haven't been walking as much as I was before the holidays which was 8000 - 10000 a day. I will get there again!

    January 4-10
    Steps: 26897
    Distance: 12.0 miles

Just found this thread! It said "can start anytime..." so count me in. I was doing well with diet and exercise until Thanksgiving. Family member diagnosed with brain cancer. Emotional eating at it's best was what was going on with me over the holidays. Realized I need to take care of myself so I can be there to help "fight the good fight" with my family. Hope to post my first walking stats tonight!

Walking is so much better with a dog! It's a bit warmer here today, and as long as the rain holds off I'm hoping to finally get mine out for a walk again now that the ice has mostly melted!!

Whoa, so thanks to 3 days of Fitbit challenge against my brother, I flew past my weekly goal of 53,000 steps already (serious competition for honor and glory, I tell ya, lol). 66,000+steps since Sunday!

I exceeded my expectations and underestimated my abilities. It's crazy how just using my car less and feet more to run errands can add up. So today shall be a well earned rest day for me.

Rock on, all you wild and wacky walkers <3

Hopefully, yours stops and sniffs less than mine does. She is only 12 lbs but boy does she know how to use it to get her way on a leash. lol I would get much farther if I left her at home, but it would only be half as much fun.

I am sorry to hear about your loved one, that is such a hard way to spend the holidays. Take care of yourself and prayers for your family.

Totally lost track, but walk every day. Currently on client's site and it has a very long building - every hour I aim to walk the full length, then outside and back round the slightly longer way. It adds up! I have a desk based job and usually get at least 10k steps in without teeing too hard (don't have a lot of time after work and commuting). If I get home in time I alternate between playing the sax and walking on the treadmill :-) (tried both at once, not suck a good plan...)

He probably tries to stop and sniff just as much! But my puppy is about 120 lbs (or more...it's been a while since he was weighed!). We have a 10 month old Great Dane! It definitely makes for interesting walks!!
