Has anyone heard of a neighborhood where they don't want you to jog/run in it?

Yeah there are two kinds. Condo associations where the fees you pay in pay for maintenance, electricity, landscaping, etc. for the common areas and homeowner associations where you pay for some minor wanna be dictator to tell you when your lawn needs mowing or you took too long shoveling snow.0 -

As the association leader, he DOES know who you are and where you live. I don't understand why you're so concerned that another human being was outside at the same time you were. You were running toward him, and then turned around to run the other way. Post office does not allow them in many areas. Many neighborhoods cannot even have individual mailboxes, there is one central one for every 4-6 homes (each home had their own locked section in the general mailbox). Apartments and condos usually have a whole bank of them out by the street. I lived in an apartment complex that had one box, with individual locked sections, for every 12 apartments.

I also think it would be illegal for them to forbid you access to a public area for something that doesn't harm anything.
If you were running on the wrong side of the road or if you were running on the road when a sidewalk was available, that would be illegal. But not the running itself.0 -

So this plan doesn't work at all.
I'm guessing if she lost a $1M check she would find it/get it replaced. If she really wanted to know the rules she could find them.0 -

i had a family member's HOA have rules about no cars not parked in the garages and no boats parked on driveways0 -

Haha I was going to say exactly the same thing about my 6mph chair! I wanted a sticker for such a long time that read "if you can't walk at 4mph don't try to step in front of me". (4mph is legal limit on pavements here).
Please define pavement. I do find this fairly comical BTW.
You can run on the grass though. Pavement would normally include concrete as well as asphalt... so wouldn't that mean cars can't go faster?0 -

Friend lived an area with a HOA. The HOA wouldn't let a guy put a basket in the driveway for his kids, against the rules. To get back at them he painted his house day glow pink (no rule against that).0 -

Common sense isn't too common these days. Has anyone ever been told they can't jog in the neighborhood they pay HOA fees in? I'm curious.
Reminds me of a paranoid friend I had, who came to visit and tells me, "that car has been following me for a long time". When I looked to see the car, it was parking across the street, because it was my neighbor. LOL!
The OPs boyfriend knows how to deal with his woman... wait till they tell you something sweetheart. lol!

Ask your boyfriend to come with you once(at a distance behind in eye sight) and when the guy does the same thing he can run up to him and ask what's going on here. People do get sexually assaulted by people they know. Just because she knows him, doesn't mean that he means her no harm. I'm not saying that he did want to harm her, but saying she knew him is not a good enough reason to not be wary of him.0 -
