You lost 168lbs in just 8 months?
Wow. Amazing
170.6lbs lost as of today. That's a .676 pound a day average. I really can't explain it. I just stopped eating junk and started walking. No surgeries or anything. I'm truly blessed.11 -

Picture on the left was taken at my last collegiate track meet. I had gained a lot of weight after recovering from an eating disorder, but loved my body so much for all the wonderful things it could do! I didn’t care that I had gained weight, because I was happy and felt strong for the first time in my life. I’m about 35 lbs lighter now than I was then, thanks to more distance running and eating more fruits/veggies, and I still love my body as much as ever
I’m really proud of myself because this was the first time I’ve lost weight out of love and respect for myself, rather than hate and loathing.
Awesome. So honest and open and you look fantastic and most importantly you are stronger on the inside :-)12 -
Have lost about 35-38 lbs since first two photos and a whole lot of mental baggage too. Still working on it but enjoying the process :-) Last photo was taken two days ago.
Just like to say this is the first time I have ever put those photos out there.. but everyone else is so brave to have shared I thought why not. You all have done so well and look fantastic!27 -

Wow! Everyone is such an inspiration, just what I needed to see this morning. I've started and failed more times than I can count, but have been diligent the last three months and I see a difference in how my clothes fit. I don't actually see a difference in me, but seeing these before and afters sure give you the motivation to keep going! Thank you and congrats!2

I love this post! Everybody looks amazing!
I feel like this is the first time I have made changes for the love of myself rather than the negative self talk, self-hatred and eating "disorders". Sounds depressing I know! But change starts within and I'm losing more than just fat, and gaining more than just muscles! Love yourself RIGHT now!

What a wonderful post! Everyone should appreciate their body's abilities the way you do. I try to remind myself that no matter what my body has served me well. Now I want to show it more respect by eating right and exercising with the help of mfp.4 -
So this is a rather pic heavy post but I wanted to show how my gradual transformation took place. When I began in 2014 I was close to 330 lbs. I'd played football in high school and occasionally studied martial arts but I'd been sedentary for a long time. I started slowly, with walking a mile a day, eventually getting up to 10,000 steps. Now I workout 5-6 days a week. I'm either running, lifting weights or body weight, aerobics first thing in the morning and now I'm down to 188 lbs (give or take) with a 31 inch waist. If I could do anything differently, I wouldn't have waited until I turned 42 to get my act together.55 -
Not much to report after 8 months.. but then again I didn't stick to anything very regular over that time period. I took the "before" photos because I was about to start 6 weeks of a work assignment that was very physically demanding and everyone else in my office said they dropped a bunch of weight doing it. I of course didn't get that benefit because in my mind i justified eating way more because of the physical activity. I took "after" photos today because I'm 5lbs down--which doesn't sound like that much, and i wanted to see if it was easier to view a difference by placing the photos side-by-side.
Apologies for the difference in lighting... I moved since last June and couldn't replicate the same sunlight...

I'd Kill if I looked this small at 235! Keep up the good work
@motivatedsister I'm 5'5 and I lose weight in my waist really fast. These hips though... I can't seem to get rid of them fast enough.0 -

Aww but you look so happy with that icy cold beer. You need a new 'after' where you don't look so bummed to be beerless.
Good work!6 -
I'm inspired! Good for all of you!0
