    Don't be afraid of doing what you know is best for you because you think it may look funny or someone may something negative.
    Don't let the opinions of others keep you from doing what you need to do.

    Don't be pressured into eating something you don't want. Just say "No thank you, I'm trying to eat healthy."

    Relax and let it go when others are around. Don't give up your holidays. Be strict when no one else is watching. This isn't about anyone else than you. Drive your hardest when you don't want to.

    Don't get overly discouraged when you hit an inevitable plateau in your weight loss. Keep at it, the pounds will start coming off again.

    Don't forget that this is your life. Only you can decide what sort of routine you can live with.

    Don't get upset if nobody says anything about your weight loss for a long while, Nobody said anything to me until I'd lost 40 pounds. Most times they're worried of saying the wrong thing.

    Don't make any changes to your diet that you don't plan on sticking to long-term. Losing weight one way and then changing once you hit maintenance makes for a difficult maintenance.

    Don't forget that all activity is good. It doesn't matter if it's actual "exercise". Just being active around the house, yard, neighborhood, at work...all of that makes a big difference in your calories spent during the day.

    Don't forget to pat yourself on the back when you do well. Every time you stick to your goals or go to the gym when you didn't want to...you deserve to feel good about yourself. Remember to mentally congratulate yourself on the little things.

    Don't feel bad if you have days when you just don't feel motivated. Eating at maintenance for a day or to to regroup isn't the end of the world. Just be sure to log it.

    Don't give up. Take as long as you need to. Take detours and vacations. Just don't quit on yourself. There is no deadline, so only you will know if you've quit. As long as you're still trying, you're still winning.

    Don't expect motivation to come from others, it has to come from within. You will get support and encouragement but nobody can give you motivation but you.

    Don't be in a rush if it takes years, it takes years, you didn't gain overnight you won't lose overnight.

    Don't feel guilty when you have a day where you go over/have a binge whatever you want to call it you are human, acknowledge and go back on the wagon.

    Don't feel sorry for yourself because you do not get to eat all the foods. Eating all the foods was never a normal way to eat and if you keep thinking that it is, you will feel deprived and feel as though you are temporarily restraining yourself. This is not temporary. Eating less is now the thing that you do. Huge portions are not your birthright. They are not anybodies.

    Don't comfort yourself with the idea that some people are "just lucky" and that you are "unlucky". This is linked to the idea that you should be allowed to eat all the foods and that lucky "naturally thin" people get to eat all the foods. They don't. That is not how "naturally thin" works. Those people eat less than you. Own up and take responsibility for where you are today, forgive yourself and face the changes required.

    Don't have a cheat day where you don't log. Really, don't have a cheat day, but if you MUST, at least log it. It's easier to get back on the wagon if you're still clinging to the wheel than if you're off prancing about in a field somewhere ya know?

    Don't buy a lot of clothes until you are at your goal. A few inexpensive staples will get you through to the next size.

    Have patience, we didn't gain our weight over night.
    If you have one bad day realise that the next day you get a clean slate to do better :smile:

    Don't reward yourself with food, your not a dog!.
    Don't forget to take pictures and measure yourself this will get you through the slumps when the scale stalls.
    Don't forget to set small goals so that it is more achievable.

    Don't get caught up in the fads. There's no reason to go low carb, paleo, vegan , south beach and so on. All you need to lose weight is a calorie deficit
