I'm an eighteen year old girl who has been vegan for 2 months now. I love the lifestyle and will most likely be on it for the rest of my life. I don't feel deprived, my skin is clearer and I'm

I have nothing against it, but I like meat.

    To each their own IMO.

I don't care, it's a tiny % of the population and those that I have been around struggle to find things they can eat. Good luck to them, and you, and any other outliers.

It doesn't bother me how others eat but it certainly isn't for me. I would miss meat way too much. I am rather lazy as well so the thought of all the research I would need to do and the new recipes I would need to find to make sure I was getting adequate protein and nutrients would put me off as well. But if you are enjoying it then that is all that matters. :)

I don't care how others eat I just don't like how a small minority of people (in every way of eating) feel they are morally superior to others and try to convince everyone to convert to their views

People don't go vegan because they don't like meat.

They shouldn't as that is the point but I know a few vegans who like to remind meat eaters about how much more ethical and better people because of their choices. Most aren't Luke that but some aren't respectful. It's not just vegans, there's one in every "diet" crowd

I am vegan and have been for almost 3 years. I have nothing but positives to say about it

Personal choice. I care very little what other people do with their time. (as long as they're not interfering with mine)

I don't care as long as the vegan isn't shoving his/her WOE in my face and continuously belittling me/being snide about how I'm contributing to animal abuse because I'm eating a sandwich. I don't do it to you, so don't do it to me.

I don't think it's for me, but I don't have anything against others doing it.

I am moving toward a plant based diet mostly because my teenaged daughter is vegan and the changes I have seen in her general health are wonderful.
I am annoyed by the "holier-than-thou vegans" but there are holier-than-thou types in every group.
I feel very strongly that whichever diet someone chooses to follow research, education and MD guidance are important.

I'm currently going vegetarian for weight loss and general health. I know I will eat meat again in the future but not like I used to and right now I'm happy without meat. I also have protein shakes and multivitamins to make up for whatever I could be missing.

Like everyone else already said. It doesn't matter to me what other people eat. Just as long as they are not acting childish whenever I or someone else eat meat and they're willing to leave the sermon at the door. I don't care.

Personally I wouldn't go vegan, but if it works for you, go for it! I'm glad I've never run into those types of vegans who get overly angry when they see people eating animal products, though.

Lucky. I am at the gym a lot and am around tons of people who like different diets and are sure theirs is the best. Honestly I wish I could go vegan but I can't because I take a life saving medication that contains mouse proteins (grown in a lab) and my diet is so restrictive for medical reasons that if I chose a plant based diet all i could eat are a few pureed cooked veggies, bananas, applesauce, soy, white carbs and "junk" food. That's not healthy or doable for me unfortunately. It sucks when you get pressured but can't do it without putting yourself in serious risk.

    Whatever suits your boat.

I actually stopped eating meat for a couple years in high school, as I hated my mom's cooking and only liked the high calorie 'meats' like sausage, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to just say I didn't want to eat meat again. My diet was total crap though. Hated my mom's veggies too and it was really hard to find things I could eat when we went out. I lost 20 pounds or something very fast but it came back eventually because I just ate cookies instead.... then I just said forget it and started eating meat again because it was just impossible to find tasty food without meat when I was eating out all the time (that was 20 years ago in France).

I am very sorry about that, but I am not one of those people. I started this topic just to see what other people think because I do value other people's opinions. Veganism was my own choice and I feel like everyone has the choice to live the way the want. If it works for you great, if it's not your things, than that's also great.

Sort of off topic but I remember a poster who vehemently hated all vegans and most vegetarians. It was just so bizarre. I haven't seen her in quite a while though.

It's pretty much like everyone else said: There's a few annoying people in every group. Nothing wrong with being vegan!

I don't feel anything. People should eat any way they like. I like lots of different foods, including meat.

ETA: If people happen to like a way of eating that obviously isn't good for them physically and/or mentally, I may want to suggest that they reconsider.

Seriously thinking about going vegan after seeing this. Is it propoganda?

According to some video game I just played, 'meat gives 100 health'. No mention of veggies though. I like health.
