I been hearing a lot about quest bars over there past year and finally decided to give one a try I was at vitamin shoppe yesterday getting more more meal replacements and decided to give them a look I see they have lots of flavors and low in sugar but then I noticed the carbs are pretty high 20 or so in most bars but then they have the net carbs im not too familiar with how the whole net carbs wore but im a diabetic and carbs is what we usually need to steer clear of . so any imput would b greatly appreciated thanks

I was not impressed with the ones I tried. Very gritty.0
-
I'm not really a fan of them. I just don't think they taste good enough to justify the cost.0
-
Not anymore. The last one I had tasted like chemicals (ok 'artificial chemicals' I guess, before everyone jumps on me about how everything is made out of chemicals).0

NET CARBS = Total Carbs - Fiber... so if a bowl of cereal has 45 grams of carbs and of those 10 are fiber then your net carbs is 35, your body doesn't digest fiber.0

Artificial sugar flavored chalk.0
-
And yes - Quest bars really are that good... to me at least.0
-
No. They're not. Not at all0
-
I bought into the hype too. Tried em and couldn't have more than a bite. Tastes horribly artificial to me and the texture is weird.0
-
I love them!!! White choc raspberry, double choc chunk, choc chip cookie dough, mint choc chip....
*heads to pantry*0 -
I like many of them. They are over-hyped, though. I like cookies and cream, s'mores, chocolate chip cookie dough and white chocolate raspberry the best. Oh, and apple pie. They are good for a snack if you're on the run. Sometimes I will eat one for dessert.0

Very overrated IMO0

I've only tried 2 because I had free coupons. I did not like them well enough to try any more or spend money on them. Very weird texture and the flavor was only so-so.0

I know some people rant and rave about them, I however, hate them. I find them barely edible. I think they are too artificially sweet and leave a horrible after taste. The texture is disgusting (yes I have tried them warmed up and have tried different flavors).0
-
Nope. Couldn't get past the first bite.0
-
No... they are horrible. I'd rather eat food that tastes like food instead of an oddly textured, compressed bar.0

The only bars I eat are the premier protein or fiber snack bars. And they cost half of what a quest bar costs. Check them out.0
-
yak.
I hate the stevia/sweetener aftertaste. But other than that- the texture and density is on the better end of the spectrum for a protein bar.0 -

thanks ill do that0 -
I wanted to like them because they are in food logs of successful people and the flavors sound amazing. I tried two flavors and thought they were awful. The texture and taste wasn't appetizing to me. Very filling for the amount of calories though. Another reason I wanted to live them!0

I have switched from Quest to "Oh Yeah! ONE" bars. I especially enjoy the birthday cake flavor.
That being said - they are still not a lot better than Quest bars.0 -

I have only found the fiber snack ones at Sam's club so far. 18 for $10.88 until the 27th. They also have $4 off the mix box of protein bars and the shakes until then.
BJs has the protein ones. They also have a coupon off a mix box of the protein ones or the shakes.
I also saw some single bars of the protein ones at Walmart today for $1.18 each. Not every flavor in single but a good way to try them
Heres a link to their website so you can check out their products. I eat the fiber snack one every night as a "dessert" so good...

Back in the day we knew Quest Bars as those yucky disgusting PowerBars. I'll take a Snickers instead.0

They are a great source of aftertaste and a wonderful workout for your jaw. Otherwise I never was a fan0

I heard they were wonderful. I spit it out, first bite. It was beyond terrible.0

No they really don't.0 -
Heated up I like them. I also found bars called mission 1 that I actually like better...not so sweet artificial taste..Everyone has different taste so buy a few before you buy a box I think they are over priced for what you get (its a protien bar lol)0
