Lose 55lbs by Sept 1st

Wow you guys may be exactly what I need to get me to my first major goal. I have been at this for almost a year now and I have plateaued big time. I have picked back up with charting every bite of food again so that has helped and I'm down 4 pounds this week finally.... A step in the right direction again.
Really...really want to be down 13 pounds by the end of April........

I am interested. My 45th birthday is September 22. My goal was to be 155 but that is so unreal. Seeing that I have been slipping and falling into junk food as of late. So 172.4 to 180 will do.

I would like to be in, but maybe shoot for a lower goal personally, ~5lbs a month seems safer for me. If I lose too quickly, I tend to get binge-y. Is there a challenge group to join? link?

Yes we should definitely weigh in weekly, and maybe create mini challenges every month?
For the Month of April: Minimum of 8 glasses of water a day
I think Friday would be a good day to weigh in weekly. If you weigh in on a different day, it's not a big deal just be sure to share your progress/struggles!
I can see a lot of people are concerned about the amount of weight to lose monthly, and I don't want anyone to be too pressured that they give up. The important thing is to keep going, it's a big goal and may be more attainable for some than others. If you want to adjust your goal to something smaller, feel free to do it. This is mostly about encouraging each other and making sure we each give it our best every day. If you only lose 20 pounds by September, that's a victory, and I'm sure everyone on here would recognize that! It's not so much about the number but how you feel at the end of the day
Would also be great if we can all add each other for more support

Ok I would like to join in on this. I have lost 24.8lbs so far since early December and I have a ways to go to reach my ultimate goal. But I have set small weight loss increments for myself.
I will have to weight myself tomorrow morning so that I can get started with this challenge.0
