curious what everyone is planning on doing after you reach your goal weight! For example, will you get a makeover, buy something new, show off your new figure? it's fun thinking about it.

Maintain so I dont die young1 -
Work on keeping the weight loss off by going on Maintenance.
I will continue logging at MFP0 -
Recomp. Start to build some muscle- particularly upper body1
-
Work on maintenance, continue to log, etc. Focus on more fitness goals. Maybe have some pizza and ice cream and dance wildly to blaring music for all of 15 seconds before eating more pizza and ice cream. Then the next day the scale will be up because of sodium and carbs and then it's time to work on getting back to goal weight... lol0

Stay healthy and strong - that's my best reward.1

About 6 months before reaching my goal weight, I wrote out new goals in weight maintenance that began the very day I hit that coveted 180 pounds.
That was 5 years ago. Each year I inch my body fat down which has been slow, steady progress.
Day one at 180 pounds was just another day....and I bought all new clothes...0 -
I'm rewarding myself with a tattoo
But I know I will be still be logging and exercising and doing all the things I'm currently doing.0 -
New clothes!!!0

I have a whole list. I agree with previous posters about maintenance etc but when I hit my goal I have things I have been too embarrassed or shy to do at my starting weight. Clothes shopping is a must - trying to buy as little as possible while body is changing because I would rather invest in items I plan to wear long term. I also want to do a beach vacation and kayak lessons!0
-
Plan to lift weights and get some muscles followed by putting that plan off till next week. Rinse and repeat0
-
3 years of maintenance here, didn't really do anything special except get new blood work done, and then regrouped and moved onto figuring out how to maintain (took about 6 months to transition, not a fun time). The whole thing was actually pretty anticlimatic0

Arriving at goal weight or whatever (I never had a particular number) is not the finish line...it's actually the starting line of the real race.
When I hit my goal, I decided to take a really good look at my fitness goals because I needed something else to keep me in the race...the only thing I really did for myself was buy a good bike.0 -

I hit my first goal almost a year ago.
I took a 1-month diet break ... and then decided to lose more.
I don't really have a definite second goal, but I reached something that could be my second goal just before Christmas. I took a 6-week diet break then.
I also went through all my clothes over the Christmas break so that I've got my slim selection in the closet rather than my heavy selection.0 -
Try on the clothes I wore in my before photo, then go out & buy a few new clothes (after 2 yrs of living from Goodwill!) I will prob get s body fat measurement in a bod pod of hydro tank.0

Shopping and start training for a 10k race!0

I want to enjoy my new body, new clothes for sure. I especially want to learn to maintain when the time comes. I am sick of the yo-yo effect so I am hoping that my emotional state will be able to handle my new self. If that makes any sense?1

Oh, and did I mention I wanna look HOT?0
-
After I hit 145 I want to gain back 5lbs of PURE MUSCLE.0
-
I fantasize that I'll buy nice clothes. I probably won't though. I'm sure by the time I get to 160 I'll fantasize about eating at maintenance.0
-
I plan on seeing the world again and doing things with my family and friends again. I also plan on dating again when I get all of the weight off. And I am going to have a well deserved trip to Disney World.0

Hmm...I don't have a goal weight. I just treat myself to things along the road toward my strength/body composition goals. I bought Versace perfume today. I have no idea how small I will be when I'm done cutting and the seasons are changing so I'm not buying clothes.0

I'm actually thinking I might want to take my goal weight another few pounds down, from 145 to maybe 141, based on a body fat percentage of around 21-22%. I'm 150 and around 26.9% now. And then just maintain and bask in the happiness and self-confidence that has come from my little journey. I might, miiiight, switch into recomp. I've been mulling that over as well. But it's much more of a maybe than the "few more pounds"1

Excited to buy new clothes and not have to wear my body shaping tank top I don't leave the house without
Just excited to feel better about myself and be the size I was in high school; back when I thought i was fat!!!

I will probably break down and cry with the intensity I did the day I decided I had to lose weight. Because that's just how I respond to very stressful and successful situations alike.0

I'm going to hit my goal weight the week before I fly out from UK to Orlando and Disney (3 weeks) That will be a massive challenge starting maintenance on holiday but if I have to lose a few when I get back that's fine too! Planning on buying a new wardrobe out there which is keeping me very motivated to get these last 4lbs off0
-
Good question. I'm a pound or two away. I think I'll race bikes once I hit my goal weight.
In fact, that starts next weekend for me.0 -
Start a recomp. And wear tiny clothes.0

Like others have said, i will continue on the journey and start building muscle. I don't just want to be thin, i want to be toned. My goal weight is 120, i'm not exactly sure if that'll be my actual goal, i'll have to see what i like, maybe i will have to lose more weight? Who knows. But i think i'll up my calories more and start heading to the gym.
But i will need to buy a whole new wardrobe. Absolutely nothing fits! From Bras and panties all the way to new shirts/shorts and jeans.. Even pj's fall off now!0
