They are my favorite fruit. I probably average 2 a day.

I used to love bananas but found them too sweet after doing ketogenic for a couple of months. I might give it another go though.

i don't eat bananas. i'm diabetic, and the sugar in bananas causes blood sugar spikes. and honestly i didn't eat many before i was diabetic - they're good, but somehow i rarely ate them.

I don't eat them as they are very high in calories plus I have a bad experience from when I was pregnant with being sick so put me off

When I was pregnant with kid number 2 my banana "like" button got turn off and never turned back on again. Used to eat them regularly, but couldn't even look at them while pregnant. Now I'm lucky if I eat one every couple of months. My kid loves them though, go figure.

Anyone else get banana burps? Every time I eat one, about 30 mins later, I get this little burp that taste like banana. Everytime! So weird

As far as I can remember I've never eaten a banana in my life. And here I am half a century later, healthy as a can be. Bananas are the cause of all the world's health problems.

I can't stand their weird combination of slimy texture, cloying sweetness, and mouth sucking astringency.

I don't because I don't like the texture. I try and literally have to gag and choke them done. That is not how food is suppose to be!

I do like banana bread though. I have a great recipe from cooking light.

    Impressive!

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astringent

Astringency is also the dry, puckering mouthfeel caused by tannins found in many fruits such as blackthorn (sloe berries), Aronia chokeberry, chokecherry, bird cherry, quince and persimmon fruits, and banana skins.

I eat a few bananas most days. I like them when they have just turned yellow or even slightly green still. I really don't like them when they are considered ripe.
