Orphia, I looked at your diary and saw that you have a Fit Bit calorie adjustment every day. Which Fit Bit do you have? I've heard that Fit Bits don't accurately count calories when you are exercising hard but they do during the rest of the day. Can you explain how you figured that adjustment? I'm very curious because I have wanted to get a Fit Bit but haven't because of the reviews. Thanks!0

@justlosingit4
I got the Fitbit in October and since then I've eaten back 50-75% of the calories it gives me.
This is to allow for any overestimation of burns from the Fitbit, and under-estimation by food entries in the database.
I lost weight pretty much exactly at the rate I'd specified per week.
ETA: I have the Fitbit Charge HR0 -
Congratulations, excellent progress and attitude1

Yay you! And yay me for reading this. Needed to see the moderate attitude that results in lasting Heath changes. I know weight loss is just a happy by product of treating yourself well. I'm trying to lose the diet/cheat mentality. Hugs and high fives to you!1

You are truly an inspiration! Does anyone have problems with night eating. I will have a fantastic day and at night eat anything - and I'm not even hungry.0

Hi, @CrystalDeVanceWilson Thanks for commenting on my thread.
It doesn't matter if you eat at night. The body burns calories night and day.
If you look at my diary (it's public) you'll see I eat most of my calories for dinner, which I have about an hour before bed.
This thread is proof it doesn't matter if you eat just before bed!0 -
Woohoo! Amazing!1

You look fabulous and I wish you much luck and happiness.1

Great job and I love your philosophy! I've lost 110 lbs to go from the verge of morbid obesity to a healthy weight since last summer with the same plan - nothing off limits as long as I stay in my calorie limit. I did go over one day - last Sunday, but am really ready to start maintenance and was within my deficit so I'm not sure it counts. I agree that this will hopefully help us maintain this healthier lifestyle.1

Amazing! I like the fact that you didn't deprive yourself of any foods! That's the way I'm doing it too. You can't go wrong!1
