Eat more to lose weight

Is anyone else "dieting" this way? I decided I'd have no calorie restriction. My only rule is that I can only eat foods that contain one ingredient. Pounds are coming off, I'm full, I'm healthier, and I haven't eaten 2000 calories in a day yet. Real food is the answer. Stop eating garbage and chemicals.

Call it a whole foods diet.
Avoiding processed food is really hard --- I'm trying. Open diary.1 -

Congrats on finding something that works for you. The type of food people consider "garbage", "real" food and/or laden with chemicals varies.
Fun fact: Foods that contain one ingredient may very well be preserved with chemicals. If you eat fruits and vegetables, this is most likely the case even if they're organic.
My pounds came off with meat, fruit, nuts, vegetables, and dairy. They also came off with donuts, cake, pizza, and chocolate. My body looks the best it ever has and I'm consistently achieving my fitness goals. I'm more of the "eat what you enjoy in moderation" type rather than the balls to the wall "whole food, processed food is junk, sugar is evil" type.23 -
What does it matter? I don't understand what the question was for?0

Your bread has more than one ingredient, you know.8

Just do it half of your life and then stop. You'll be back to where you were and life is complete.2

Not keen on going out in a field and gnawing on a cow's leg. Prefer them sliced up and Pittsburgh rare with a nice rub.
But hey if it works for you awesome! Way to go. Keep up the good work.4 -
Yeah, I'm not the idiot you're making me out to be. I'm losing weight and I'm happy. I'm not going to be anal about it.2

I'm not on a raw food diet, I'm just trying to avoid chemicals and processed food.0

Well maybe people are asking you certain questions because you're preaching to others that they need to stop eating "garbage" and "chemicals", but your food diary shows you actually consume quite a number of foods that are processed and contain chemicals as well.9 -

uyou know cooking something is processing it right therefore making it a processed food.

oh I just checked out your diary and there are quite a few processed foods in it, especially your protein powder7

So what exactly are you expecting when you decide to stop going this route like you answered another person?2

Relax.

You are claiming you aren't eating processed food and I just looked at today's diary entry and there was bread, cheese, ham, protein powder, etc so you are eating processed food and food that has more than one ingredient. Nothing wrong with that but why claim something you are not doing10

Plus pounds are coming off since monday? Really?9

Maybe people are put off by the fact that you called what they eat "garbage".
Eat whatever food you want. I prefer to do something sustainable long term, but that's just me.10
