Went to buy some shorts today. I used to be a size 46.
picked up a couple 40 went to try them on, they didn't fit. I was in shock they were too big, size 38 did fit.14 -
The shirt I'm wearing today used to be a little too small but now it is getting baggy. Not to mention I bought a dress from Macy's online and it is also verging on too big. Both are a size medium! I am also officially at a healthy bmi! I haven't been a healthy bmi in over 15 years.18

Either last year or the year before, I bought a belt from a leatherworker at a festival booth as a reward because I'd undergrown those that I had. I had him put the hole for my waist size then in the middle, just in case.
The other day, I held that belt and my current belt by their buckles. The highest hole on the old belt was lower than the lowest one on the current belt ... and I'm on the next-to-uppermost hole.10 -

Also Realizing I don't feel like I am "on a diet" I just feel like I'm eating healthier and taking care of myself. I am in a deficit but doesn't "feel" that way if that makes sense
I don't feel like I'm on a diet either which is awesome to me. I still eat what i want, except I don't get miserably stuffed anymore at meal times. I haven't had a cocktail in a few weeks, but I just decided I would rather have food instead. I have learned to prioritize the "naughty" foods and drinks.10 -
Great job everyone!! I did 4 push ups last night - the real ones! I haven been able to do that in a loooong time, or maybe never.
Also tried on my short little denim skirt that's a size 8, and i could get it buttoned and zipped! The muffin top wasn't pretty, but I WILL wear it again one day soon.14 -
I wore shorts in public for the first time that I can remember. And i didn't care. And it felt good. Took me 29 years to learn to love my body, no matter the shape or size. I have had body image issues since I was very young. As a young teen I was very angry. I carved a word into my lower leg, and 15 years later the scars are faded, but I still see them because I know they are there. Nobody else noticed or cared. I just wore shorts, like a normal person. It seems really dumb, but this is huge for me. HUGE.36

Just got a beautiful mother's day breakfast made by my two daughters. One of my daughter's wrote: I am so proud of you for achieving your health goals.
Best NSV!
Happy Mother's Day!22 -
I have found I have clothes in my closet in three different sizes, just a little loose, kind of big, and just about falling off big. I have culled out all the just about falling off ones and am sending them to good will. I am holding off of the kind of big until I can afford to buy a few more clothes that fit better. I'm still losing so I don't want to go overboard and then find my "new" clothes are too big!

I was able to sit indian-style for the first time since I was a teenager. Guess this means, yoga is finally on the horizon!16

I walked 40 minutes to the shops wearing shorts. That in itself is a confidence NSV, but the reality of life without thigh rub is a magical, magical thing!21

Over indulged for Mother's Day yesterday: tacos, patron, and cupcakes plus all the fixings.
Got up this morning and went for a one hour hike before doing a few kettle ball swings. Ate a decent lunch. I'm proud that I didn't let one day of indulging kick me off track. I definitely can not do that more than once in a blue moon. It was fun, but not something I want to do daily ever again!20 -
I no longer have to pull up my pants every 10 seconds like I have for the past 10 yrs!! (I thought it was a function of menopause) I have a WAIST!!!
(and please someone tell me- what is "NSV"? (I'm guessing "sv" is for "small victory"?)8 -
I was able to fit into a pair of size 18 jeans my sister gave me over a year ago. And they're American Eagle brand which I've found run small sometimes. Pretty excited! Can't wait to pull the rest of my old clothes out of storage!8

. . . . . very close. We all ask in the beginning - Non Scale Victory . . . . like the emergence of your waist.
