I'm over 15kg overweight. I found it hard to carry that weight. Would you like to be my friend and help each other?

Hello! I'm in exactly the same boat...1200 calories a day...and about 15-18kg to lose. My baby is weaned now at 8 months old and I'm determined to get back to the size i was in my profile picture! I wouldn't mind if we helped each other out!1

I'm doing 1200, more like 25 pounds to lose, but still! We can do it2
-
Yeah let's do it0

I'm also in the 1200 calorie club but I have a lot more weight to lose than the rest of you...add up the weight the 3 of you have to lose and that's where I'm at...but I'm still game! Nice to meet all of you!2

Awesome everyone
Firdt Day today. Wasn't bad Xx2 -
You can do this girl! I did try it and if you eat twice or 3 times a day its not so hard to do. Just more greens and proteins. Also if you dont use sugar and carbs you will more slowly hungry!
Good luck2 -
im suppose to be at 1200 by my doc but cant seem to get it below 1400. 1200 is so low , Im constantly hungry and having low blood sugar attacks. I lost 7 lbs on mfp , but already gained 5 back, dont know why. so I could use the tips and motivation.
good luck to everyone!1 -
Veg goes a long way with few calories so it plays a big part in my day. Getting a good few grams of protien every meal helps too. Agree about the sugar, for me, its not a help. But smetimes I indulge in an orange, mango or cup of blueberries.1

You can definitely do this! Just keep away from processed sugar and junk food. Whole foods are the way to go! I've lost 15 kg in less than 5 months with the same calorie intake as you, and I've never felt healthier and more energetic.

I'm eating about 1,000-1,500/day. I try to work out-run several times a week. I've lost 5-6 pounds this week just by cutting portion sizes and watching more what I eat. You can definitely do it! Eat 5-6 times a day-small meals, and drink half your body weight in oz. It will fill you up and won't be as hungry as much!4

I'm right here with you! I've been at 1200 calories for almost a month. Lost a ton of water weight and it fluctuates with an average of 3.5 pounds weight loss! I drink a ton of water throughout the day and do light toning exercises with a weighted fitness hoop. I've recently started walking and hoping it will get it going. It's so frustrating! I have about 20 pounds to lose so any tips and motivation is great!!1

I'm in! I lost 30 pounds, but gained 15 back. Only 1200 calories per day as well. I had lost all my weight on DietBet.com and earned over $300. Think I need to get back on with DB, but I could use a little peer pressure here as well!2

Well, MFP's default minimum for women is 1200 before exercise.....so yeah I eat my exercise calories back. It's how the site is designed. But keep in mind calorie burns are estimates (be conservative).
I eat more than 1200 net because I choose to lose more slowly. Aggressive weight loss plans = high calorie deficits. That means it's harder for your body to support existing lean muscle mass. MFP's design helps you lose a higher % of fat.
I'm older (50+) and need to preserve as much existing muscle as I can.6 -
I'm at 1200 too and converting to a low carb lifestyle (keto), I've lost about 8lbs in 3/4 weeks and have about another 32lbs to go. Feel free to add me! We can do this!!3
-
I'm at 1200 as well with 23 lbs to go. This is my 2nd day. I'm really sore but I feel great! Good luck everyone.3

This is my first day. I'm sticking to 1200 calories a day and trying to lose 20 pounds. I'm trying the 5 and two diet where you "fast" two days a week....only eat 500 calories those days and then eat 1200 the other five days. Started today with a "fasting" day and it wasn't as hard as I thought but will need motivation!!1

AliceAxe, I don't know how tall you are, maybe 1400 is better for you than 1200. Fat and Protein help me feel full. I leave carbs under 50g per day and eat 20-30g protein 4 times a day. I get my carbs from vegetables and an occasional splurge of berries. Good Luck!1 -
I'm with you!!
30 lbs to go-back at it just today...ugh, so tough.
But I've climbed this hill before, healthier eating, exercise, changing my stinking thinking:)
1200 per day, I try to not eat back my exercise calories, and some days a 50 calorie snack at bedtime-even if i go over 1200 helps me not feel SO hungry...also cut carbs as much as possible.

I'm also at 1200, I have a lot of weight to lose. Today was my first day and I went over. I will have to cut back during the day because I get bad munchies at night. Good luck!1
-
I was bad today...1600 calories but I'm staying positive. I'll walk more at work, and I'm hitting the gym tomorrow after work!1

These folks so far, mostly, have less than 30 lb to lose and a 1200 calorie plan is achievable for women. In the time scale they are looking at, 6 months or less, I think they can get the habit of understanding and mastering their mind and body relationship to food such that the long-term issue is maintenance and most of them can learn that long term maintenance is the same as dieting on a 1700 - 1800 calorie plan.2 -
I'm eating between 1000-1400 cals per day. I'm drinking about 80-100 oz of water to help keep me full. I've lost 8.2 pounds so far and have about 48 to go.3
-
Yeah!!! So motivated guys
Quite good yesterday. I ate below 1300cal and was fine . I walked a bit which made it easier to go over a bit 1200
Have a great day
P.S. My husband gave me a surprise (???h
