    I'm late finding this, but I'm so happy I did! I really like this kind of simple accountability. I've struggled with gaining weight for the past 6 months or so. I went from a steady 120 to about 126 now (I took 4 years to go from 153 to 120...so I don't want to start gaining back!). Every day I vow to get my eating under control, and then I just completely lose it as soon as 4 pm hits...fried chicken, coleslaw, and cookies last night. So I'm back to MFP and logging diligently! This is what helped me in the first place, so I'm back at it...no need to reinvent the wheel, right? :blush:

    Hi, everyone. I'm new to the community. I've been a member here for a few years, but since working with a dietitian, I haven't been coming here much. He thinks that I need daily accountability and suggested groups such as this online. I've lost 45 lbs., but it's taken me two years. I've NEVER lost weight this slowly before. There have been two times in my life that I have lost a huge amount of weight only to gain much of it back. I'm thankful that it's been 15 years since I've been 400 lbs., but I was 180 10 years ago after losing weight. I started losing again two years ago and I was 285 at the time. I would like to get to 180 again, but my first goal is to lose to 200 lbs so I can get my knees replaced. Right now the don't bend at all so I'm can't drive anymore and it's hard for me to get in just any vehicle so I only leave my home a few times a year for doctors' appointments. I really NEED this kind of help. Thank you all and to pjb for starting this. I'm a bit late.
