Just starting today. Next month will do no snacking after dinner.

I'd like to offer a few thoughts (that are probably worth every cent paid):- Set your own bar and we look forward to cheering as you work past it, month after month.
- Make today - not the next week, month, or rest of your life - the focus of your decisions today. It may be cliche, but it's the way to change lifelong habits: one day at a time.
- CHOOSE. (Preaching to myself...) That's right. I didn't wake up one day and think, "I'd like to be morbidly obese. I'd better getting eating." No. I understand math and biology, yet I spent most of half a century letting the immature brat in me dictate "I want...now." Instead of denying myself the enjoyment of now for the outcome of later, I impulse ate! Ate because I was happy or celebrating. Ate because I was sad. Ate because I was being social. Ate to not offend (mom, wife, host, ...). OK. I ate because I was awake - and it felt good. I had to...need to take charge of my inner brat, make adult decisions. One of the ways I tell him "No!" is CHOOSING not to Late Night Snack!
To the others who've been around this group a month or two, I apologize for being repetitive. I need to keep reminding myself of these principles, even if it's just for me.5 -

Night snacking is a big problem for me too. There is always late night snacking in my house. My husband has type 1 diabetes and there is snack food in every nook of the house...hard to resist..and with grandkids comes snacks too. I am 65 years young 5'1" and 157 lbs! I'm so sick of it....I'm also on heart meds & antdepressants. I've gone down to 145 last year but rewarded myself with food..go figure! A losing battle!3

A 'streak' is how many total days a person has gone without a Late Night Snack over the course of time since joining this challenge.

A STREAK is how many CONSECUTIVE days a person has gone without Late Night Snacking. For instance, I've made it the last 199 days without missing or violating my goals.
Of course, that is subject to whatever goal you set for yourself. Nothing is permanent and goals aren't worth much if they don't challenge you. That's why I review and revise mine from time to time.
A year ago, I'd never contemplated going to bed without LNS, much less done it a week in a row, or a month, or nearly 200 days! Because of my schedule, I began with (what most would view as) liberal goals. I'll keep bumping them higher, until my streak flames out. Then…I'll start my next streak!

Hello, I'm new to the community. Thanks for this challenge. My goal is water onky at 9pm. I started last night.
