I need to find FUN

I remember many years ago when I discovered Tae Bo it changed my life... I lost weight while having fun. I am having a lot of trouble finding something that sparks my interest these days. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Studio Gyms/Class Sessions seem to be all the rage these days with Boutique Spin Classes and HIIT studios popping up all over the place. Have you looked into one of those?1

I hear you. I'd love to find something that I find so fun that I don't even realize how hard I'm working.0

I took a Burn Boot Camp session: similar to HIIT and loved it!0

have you tried 'sweating to the oldies' with Richard Simmons? There are quite a few full workouts on youtube from back in the 80s and not only are they hilarious and fun, they are actually a really good cardio sequence if you go full out with it.1

Personally, I've found cycling to be fun since I was 6 years old and learning to ride.1

I think riding a bike is lots of fun. Sometime I ride when its too hot to run and other times I ride to the store just to get some exercise in. I even set my bike up to carry stuff. I rode to the store to get two bags of ice once just to see if they fit. I even ride to get beer and wine, now that's what I call fun! It is also a good cross train for my running.1 -
How about a kickboxing (or other martial arts) class? A step up from Tae Bo, and learn to kick *kitten* while you're at it!1

Hash hound harriers? The drinking club with a running problem2

Does fun have to be cardio inclined?0

Nothing compares to the simple pleasure of riding a bike.1

Les Mills BodyCombat is one of my favorite group exercise classes. I love, love, love it! If you go to the Les Mills website, there is a class finder you can use to see if it is offered in your area.0

Lifting is my fun. The occasional run here and there, but lifting is so fun that I never have to drag myself to the gym.1

Drink the Kool-Aid, come to CrossFit.0

Honestly I fell in love with lifting about 2 months ago. I look forward to it every day when I head to the gym!0

Spoxing: Spin class boxing. It'll either kill you or make you a beast.
Check it out, its a real thing...0 -
I know you will laugh and/or roll your eyes, but I do Jazzercise and it is AWESOME, so much fun, such a total body workout and NOT AT ALL what you imagine it to be (most ppl think of the 80s leotards & leg warmers). Super fun music, super cool and very tough choreography, strength training, HIIT, you name it, we've got it.
Find a class: http://www.jazzercise.com/Classes/Our-Classes0 -
Look on Groupon for good prices for lots of local options . There can be boxing, martial arts, dance, all sorts of things you might not have considered. It got me started bouldering and I love it! It's so much fun I am sad I need aso much rest between sessions.
Try some stuff you might never have thought about before!0 -

Thanks for the recommendation- I have it lined up on YouTube for this afternoon.0 -
If you liked TaeBo back in the day, you would definitely enjoy Turbo Jam or TurboFire. I am not affiliated with Beachbody, just enjoy their programs. And you could also look for class versions, I think it is called Turbo Kick in gyms.0

I don't think anybody has mentioned Zumba yet, so I'll give it a plug. My wife had been doing it for a while, and when I finally tried it I was hooked. Yeah, there's a bit of a learning curve, but once past that it's a good time. YMMV, but at the end of an hour-long class I'm sweating profusely, wondering where the hour went. I'm primarily a runner and I also ride a bike, and I find that Zumba incorporates a lot of side-to-side movement that's absent from what I primarily do. I attribute at least some part of my ability to remain injury-free (as I hurtle towards 50 years old) to doing Zumba. My $.02.0
