I read all of those. The only one that even mentions the liver detox is the last link, which is a blog.
Fun fact: something being published on a blog by someone who says they're a doctor doesn't make it proven fact!
There have been plenty of studies linking grapefruit with weight loss, but most acknowledge that eating a diet high in fiber and water is the benefit of grapefruit, along with many other fruits and veggies. And of course it has health benefits, again due to water, fiber, and vitamins, which are present in many fruits & veggies. But detoxing the liver is woo, it is a silly thing that people trying to create a tribe they can sell stuff to put out there.6 -
Does this count? If so, I may have cleansed enough for the next three years over the 4th weekend.14

I'll remember this when I get hepatitis C instead of "toxins."

An actual study. Good. We're getting warmer. Unfortunately, all it shows is that grapefruit helped with a bit of weight loss, not with cleansing the liver.

Nobody's saying grapefruit isn't healthful.

Again, this is talking about a minimal weight loss, not removal of toxins. It doesn't even mention the liver.

Again, no mention of the liver.

Again, we are not discussing whether or not grapefruit is good for you. No mention of the liver in this link either.

*sigh* There is a passing reference to grapefruit pectin here. Nothing more.

This website wants to sell you things.
Out of eight links, only one showed a way that grapefruit might benefit the liver, in the case of Hepatitis C. No mention in any of your links that grapefruit flushes fat and toxins.19 -

Not seeing how cholesterol is a toxin. Pesticides, yes. But if you're injesting pesticides at a toxic level, you need more than grapejuice to take care of that.
+1
None of the links mentioned that grapefruit juice can rid the body of pesticides. While she's right that pesticides can be toxic, she still hasn't shown that grapefruit juice will help your liver rid itself of them.7 -

They may have some health benefits, but it will not help you to lose weight quicker or burn fat. You need a calorie deficit for that.

This tells me everything I need to know about you and your claims.
It's not about being lazy. It's about evaluating your sources to determine if you have something worthy of my attention. When someone tells me to look it up myself, that's a red flag that they are wasting my time and don't have a valid argument to defend.
It is, apparently, hard to read and understand the links before you put them up. Otherwise, you'd realize you keep stating unfounded things.3 -

Which toxins are you referencing?
Who is ingesting pesticides as part of their diet?1 -

Aren't they in the air we breathe, like farming chemicals/pesticides and pollution from cars and factories etc etc

You know, I asked this question and got the answers I need. However some of you guys talk to people really hatefully and I don't dig that. If you can't be mature and respectful get off this thread.3

I don't think it will aid in fat loss. However, a cup of coffee and a grapefruit keeps me "regular" so it might help with abdominal bloat....2

I re-read this thread and saw a couple that could have been more polite. Many were facetious, which is not the same as hateful. The best way to handle hateful comments is to click the flag and select Report (NOT "abuse"!). Let the mods decide, and you can get on with your day.
I'm glad you got the answers you needed.3
