This may sound trivial, but I have just started my journey. It has been sporadic at best. My knees have been hurting and all of a sudden they feel a little better and I'm able to move better (walked 1/2 mile on the treadmill this week). My knees are now clicking but not painfully popping. I have recorded my meals a couple of times and it was eye opening. Too much salt, protein and carbs. I will get better as I have not ever been on a healthy eating plan. I'm starting to move and am trying to change life-time poor habits/rituals.
Not trivial at all - little victories like this are great to keep you motivated! Congrats!4 -
Did my very first push-up today34

Getting up early and running for 30 minutes before I even have coffee is apparently something I am capable of. Didn't see that one coming!25

For a week now I've been riding my bike the 3 miles to work every night.22

Part of this does include the scale but we have biometric screenings done at work every summer as part of the company's wellness program. Last summer I was overweight, highish blood pressure, low blood sugar, and high cholesterol.
This week I had my yearly screening done, no longer overweight, normal blood pressure and sugar. And my cholesterol was not only in the healthy range but it is was in the optimal health range! I was super proud of myself!
One odd thing though, I shrunk half and inch in height, to make an inch total since I was in high school...I am ONLY 34, how am I shrinking?14 -
My house coat that was in the donate box closes again6
-
Cut off half my post guess I'm long winded!
My house coat that was in the donation bin closes around me again!! So I rescued it an's but my current one in my donation box yay!!
Going ziplining in Aug. Last year I had to get the extra big harness from behind the counter and you have to ask for it and they hunt for it an's it is kinda humiliating. This year I am hoping/should fit in the regular harness!!!

I was late for work this morning because the skirt I thought I was going to wear ended up sliding right off my hips as soon as I zipped it up!
I’ve always thought that skirts are much more forgiving than pants when it comes to trying to stretch out the time of wearing too-big clothes, but I think I’ve hit the max on this skirt!

I just discovered this ability myself! I'm think I'm still partially asleep while it's happening, so I'm not able to think about it being hard or unpleasant.
I also went a block then had to go back the first time because my eye blurriness wasn't from waking up, it was because I forgot to put in my contacts. . . I'm getting there though.15 -

YES! My field of "F"s is barron also as I walk around in my new form fitting gym pants and tunic.10 -
My husband sent me shopping for Mothers Day to celebrate hitting my pre-baby weight. Well, two pairs of those cute pants/shorts I bought are getting donated already because they look like baggy clown pants 15 min after I put them on. So I'm back to only three pairs of pants that fit properly, but at least they are 2-3 sizes smaller!27

Messed up this weekend, but got back on the horse! Proud of myself.30

I wore a sleeveless shirt today. Arms are much less sausage-y.19

Woke up this morning with DOMS and realized that it was good thing because it meant that I had actually pushed myself HARD in my workouts on Monday and Tuesday!10
-
I had to get my eyeglasses adjusted because they kept falling off my face.16

Realised today that I'm now apparently the kind of person who can say no to chocolate because she genuinely doesn't want any right then, rather than just because she "shouldn't" eat it.
I never thought I would see that day. The real me really must have been kidnapped by aliens!28 -
Started belly dancing and now moving to levelling up to level 220
-
Was on a plane today and realied the seat felt really spacious!!
Also, I think my feet are a bit smaller and I can wear some shoes I bought that were too small.
Finally, and most important, I think I I've got this now...I feel like this way of eating is going to be sustainable for the long term. Feels good!14 -

OMG I'd die for your legs! Great job girl!!

When I started this journey my wedding ring was a little tight. Over time it fitted better and then became too big to a point where I was scared of loosing it. I think it is 17 1/4
Last September I bought a smaller ring to put in front of my wedding ring - a stopper. It was 16 3/4.
This week I replaced the stopper with a brand new one at 16 1/4. I doubt that I'll ever have to go lower as the 16 would not fit over my knuckle.7 -
I drank 2 liters of water. Usually I drink about 8 ounces of water and then barely drink anything else for the rest of the day.12

What does NSV mean?-1

My jawline is back. It's nice to see clavicles, but I'm more excited by my jawline. I had no idea it had disappeared until it reemerged.8

Non-scale Victory. And welcome! Everyone here hopes you find this thread inspirational, uplifting, positive and humourous. But most of all, we hope you discover you are not alone in your journey to a better you xx17 -
The start of the month was pretty crappy for me, and if there is a wagon I not only fell off it, it backed up and reversed over me.
My latest NSV? There are a few...
- my Nan recently passed away and I inherited her rings. I also inherited her fat hands. Turns out her rings are way too huge for me!
- this week I worked out how to install iOS step counter on my phone. Happy to say my daily steps (not including workout steps) are huge also!!
- went swimwear shopping today for Bali trip next month. I am 43 next week and tried on my first ever real bikini. And bought it. Who am I??24 -
Saying this again because it feels like a bigger NSV than usual... I am wearing a sleeveless shirt again today! I haven't gone sleeveless in years.24
-
Since the scale seems to be staying put, instead of getting discouraged I'll post here! My clothes are still getting looser ever though I'm not currently "losing," so still making some progress!17
-
Getting back on the wagon after falling off for about a month...I'm officially back at it and trying to win another Biggest Loser Challenge at work9

There is a shelf outside a guy's office at work that he keeps stocked with mini-candy bars, pretzels, animal crackers, peanut M&M's and jelly beans. I used to grab something multiple times a day, or at best had to exercise great restraint. I realized today that I've been walking past it for the past few weeks without giving it a second thought. Mental shift!33

I did a real push up! First time ever!26
