Hi everyone!
It's been 5 years since I led a weight loss challenge on MFP and I am ready to do it again. This was always when I lost the most weight, felt most supported and had the most fun so let's all commit to getting ourselves fit and healthy for the summer (I am down under).
If you want to lose 10 pounds or 5kg in August then get involved!
One thing I do ask is that you weigh in every week - without fail. We need to commit to this and all support each other.
We'll weigh in tomorrow (22nd July) and then every Friday until the end of August with a bonus weigh in on 31st August.
Please copy this and and paste it into your post each week. I'll do mine in the morning!:

Ten pounds.
I keep starting and stopping. Maybe I can keep this focus for a month. I really got off track with my vacation week, first week of July.
Watching Whitney Thore, is really interesting for me, I see that I do the SAME things, "Oh, I am just tasting this cake for a special event", "Oh, I am just going out for pizza tonight, for a special treat". Wow. I really had to confront myself last night, because I totally do that.5 -
In the interests of accuracy you may want to change the title to "5kg (11 pounds)" !1

Hi all just wanted to let you know I found a great app called "In The Moment" which runs you through a series of questions and gives you pointers about mindful eating. I only started using it a day ago but already I can feel I am making better choices. Think I paid $1.99 or so for the app but so far it is worth it! I'm a terrible binger and I'm hoping this will help.5

I'm just starting out and have been going to the gym too. I think my muscle gains are fooling with the scale as I am coming back from surgeries and I'm pretty soft all over! Hopefully I can start losing for this challenge!

Wow thanks everyone for joining. If I get time tomorrow I'll do a fancy google sheets document for us all to update. My target weight is a bit strange at 69.9kg but to me it is about getting into the 60s.
We all have some big targets to reach in 6 short weeks but we will only get there if we watch everything we put in our mouths and work our butts off exercising. I keep picturing myself in the mirror after losing this 5kg and that is what is keeping me motivated. Please share with the group what is motivating you.
