After 42 lbs lost someone FINALLY said something (other than my fam). Have noticed that people have been noticing something diff but not said anything !15

Had to go get some hiking pants for an upcoming trip and I noticed how oddly flattering the mirrors and lighting were in that particular store's dressing rooms. Nope, just me looking better. Took a few minutes to compute.22

I fit into a size 4 dress at H&M. I was...super shocked to say the least.16

Broke my mini plateau. Was eating crappy again and not exercising and was fluctuating a lot back and fortb. I guess that's kind of a scale thing though.
Went shopping for new work clothes and was able to buy mediums and size 10s.16 -
I can put the steering wheel all the way down and my legs nor my stomach touch it anymore.16

I signed up for my first 5k in a few weeks, and did the 1st workout of c25k this evening and found that it wasn't challenging at all! A year ago, I would never imagine being able to have the endurance to even try something like that let alone needing something more advanced! I got this!11

I was shopping for a new hiking/cycling jacket as my old ones are all too big now and the fall sales have actually started here. Walking idly walking around the sports store and the sales lady came over and said (in French) that I was in the 'big ladies' section and had to move over to the 'plus petite' jackets. At first I was stunned and thought I had misheard here... then I was thrilled. Woo hoo. Bought a lime-coloured jacket, too. No more black - please hide me - colours for me!16

Someone at work saw me cut a (huge) sandwich in half (so it wouldn't be all 3 of today's meals!) at a catered lunch and said "You're not still dieting are you. You'll blow away." Only the second time someone has commented on the change 12kg lost), so a thrill for me.12

Yay for you! I am looking forward to this NSV. I am so short that I have to have the seat all the way up, but then my gut is squished and uncomfortable. I've lost some, so it's better, but not quite there. My steering wheel also doesn't adjust, so that sucks.3 -

I was walking around wearing size 20 jeans and had to keep pulling them up (I *hate* belts so I don't wear them) and in the evening, I was walking through the hallway and they slipped off to my ankles, haha! Now I have a new problem: I'm still too big for any of my size 18s. :P14

Second day in a row, got up early before work and walked the dog 2.35 miles. Also washed two loads of laundry and put them on line before leaving for the day. Some of those shirts hanging on the line are getting looser on me.16

i had 2 1/2 weeks of vacation, poor tracking on mfp, but always being mindful and trying to balance beer and heavy foods with walking. came home and showed 0 gains. i was afraid to step on the scale but determined to undo any damage done over the long break. now i'm excited to forge ahead! i guess that's a SV rather than an NSV though.

I think it can still count as a NSV seeing as how you were mindful of what you were eating and tried to maintain balance, as opposed to just being completely glutenous .8 -

I think it can still count as a NSV seeing as how you were mindful of what you were eating and tried to maintain balance, as opposed to just being completely glutenous .

Posted about two weeks ago that one of my initial reasons for losing weight was so I could go ziplining. Well, we had so much fun the first time decided we should do it again.
There is no way I could have hit that pose 4 months and 40ish lbs ago even if they would have let me on the zipline to begin with.18 -
I finished my first 5k this past Saturday! 1 hour and 3 minutes with a mixture of running until I couldn't catch my breath and walking. Not bad for a girl who doesn't run. Planning another 5k in November, my goal is to run it!
Started the 30 day shred yesterday!27 -
made a video visit for a long distance friend and when I played it back before sending to her, I did not cringe at my image. I actually liked it.11

So now that I know what an NSV is, I had one this past Saturday. I had enough energy and strength to assemble a five shelf bookcase. Haven't had that for some time.25

@fireytiger , I think you're going to need a belt...!
What is it you don't like about them? I found that I hated the way the buckle on mine made my belly appear to stick out even further than it already does! (I don't tuck my shirts in so they hang over the top of the buckle and bulge out.)
I solved that by buying one of those men's belts that have a "clip" fastening - not sure what you call it - that lays quite flat. It's fully adjustable too, no holes, so I can get it exactly where I need it to be and easily adjust it when sitting or standing if it's too tight/loose.
If you still don't fancy that kind, what about threading a thin scarf or wide ribbon through the loops and tying that? (It would cause more bulk at the waist, though a ribbon shouldn't be too bad..)
Of course, now I've realised that my current pair of jeans are starting to feel loose (and like you I can't fit the next size down yet), I need a belt for them and this one is too wide! I had to go back to a buckle. :grumble:

Oh, and my own NSV today - my weight hasn't shifted for a couple of weeks (and in fact went up today), but my jeans are feeling looser and, as I mentioned above, I needed to find another belt. The only belt that fits these loops is one I haven't worn for at least 3 years - I can only do it up on the second hole, but it does fit!
Second NSV is that, related to the above lack of pounds lost, I'm not getting discouraged (not too much, anyway) and have no intention of giving up. I'm going to keep at it - no comfort eating!13 -

This thing is a lifesaver for me when in between sizes (which I always am since my waist is smaller than my large(r) thighs). Even if my pants fit, I'll sometime wear it to smooth out the button area if i'm wearing a slim fitting shirt.

lol, was running late to work this morning and quickly took a dress out of my closet that I had bought about two years ago to save for when I became small enough to fit. At the time I bought it I could barely slip it on and had to have the back zip all the way down. Well, because I was in such a rush, I took it off the hanger and without even drawing the zip pulled it over my head all the way down in one swoop, and my, it fit beautifully. The funny thing is it wasn't until a few minutes later stuck in the long traffic that I remembered why I never wore the dress...I had a huge smile all the way to work28
