I still can't see your or others' diaries though, do I need to add you as a friend first? it shows your feed is private. I am curious to see others' diets!0 -

If someone's profile is private you probably can't see theirs. Make sure you're going all the way to the profile. Mine is open.0 -
i would like to mention that just because a person logs, doesn't mean the person logs accurately...2

You need to be on the web version of MFP1 -
Thanks for putting out the offer in a way that could be helpful to some people. Appears that people who don't need the help or want the help are the first to comment. The forums are to help people, I guess you should have said, "Everyone's diary looks SO good!! I would love to definitely not help on what's worked for me. Nothing alarming to see on MFP everyone."
He didn't judge anyone, he expressed a concern, there is a difference. He didn't even identify who it was, of course everyone is different and low calorie works for some people, those people don't need to respond to his offer for help.
You do realize by attacking his "unsolicited opinion" you are firing one right back?4 -

He was expressing concern over those who ate 1500 calories, and 1500 calories for many females is perfectly fine.. Even 1200 is perfectly acceptable! Of course, we agree that VLCDs are a cause for concern as no one can get proper nutrition with that little calories. As a matter of fact, my maintenance is 1850 because of my height, weight and activity level, and for me to eat 2000, I would gain .5lb per week....not gonna happen unless I want to bulk and I am not ready for that just yet. So what if some replied with their own input, they're contributing to the topic. That's what a discussion is, and that is what forums are for.
Your response wasn't helpful or related to the OP at all.2 -

This has been the best discussion I've had on here so far. Again I'm not bashing anyone's diet. You do you. All about learning from others and growing. Don't be offended because of the title or take it personal. It's just harder for me and I'm sure other 200lb males to understand it because I can eat 3000 calories and be in a deficit.3

that would be "calling out" and fall into the category of name calling.. rules in place for that.
When cutting I eat less than 1500 calories a day? Does that mean I am VLCD? I thought a little bit of judment was smearing across the forums on behalf of the OP. I think he should try to understand what it is he sees when he starts peaking into everyone's diary.1 -

Much better to just offend as many people as possible through vague insinuations of "mean people."6 -

I probably should have said "which posts you think are rude" but since that person said "people" I chose the "who" pronoun to compliment it...
I think implying rudeness across a vague swath of responders is well, rude. Since we have no idea which point of view she disagrees with, everyone will either assume they are the target of that insinuation, or that they are exempt. Either way is probably wrong...1 -

idk about anyone else but to me unsolicited "concern" is literally judging. doesnt matter what his intentions are if his delivery was crap... as i mentioned before he if is qualified to offer help then he wouldnt have worded his post the way he did. any qualified person knows that different people require different calorie goals.1 -

I realized that well after the fact. Apparently it's a slow Friday (for my brain, at least) :laugh:0 -
Well, the name fits at least.0
