I tried on a 2x Doctor Who t-shirt my husband bought me a few years ago. I can now wear it without feeling like overstuffed sausage.20

I thought I was the only one who used that expression

Ok-this is really a SV instead of an NSV but I had to celebrate -I'm under 200 pounds! It has been over 20 years since I've been this weight! Wow! I am very close to my GW and feeling great!
Congratulations to all of us for the hard work!37 -
For the first time in many, many years I had a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful clothes shopping experience. Spent 90 minutes in my fav second hand store and walked out with about 15 shirts and three pairs of jeans. The dressing room experience is completely different now - every thing fit and some shirts were even too big. And every pair of pants fit. Wonderful day.32

Unrelated to fitness at all: Repaired the clothes dryer with USD 40 in parts and all of about 30 minutes, most of which was vacuuming out the old dust. Repair guys wanted USD 150 to just come to the house.
Thank you, PartSelect for both an easy parts buying and repair video experience!14 -

I love it! There's something so empowering about tackling these challenges yourself! And that successful feeling carries over into your attitude toward everything else you attempt (like healthy food & exercise). Well done!
So here's my NSV today - I'm starting to enjoy the fresh tomatoes from my garden. A handful of just-picked cherry tomatoes is a great snack - I almost don't miss the carb / sugar junk . And this year the deer didn't eat all the plants down! (To any gardeners who struggle with deer, send me a message and I'll share the secret weapon LOL!).

A woman stopped me in the store to compliment my arms and asked me what I was doing to get them!
Even better that I was wearing a shirt from the girls department!19 -
A coworker friend came over to offer me a homemade egg roll that someone on her team made. I didn't even hesitate to say no thank you, and she tried to sell me on it but I still didn't want it. She left saying (jokingly!!) "How dare you have self control!" XD19

I get offered cake, biscuits, cupcakes etc etc at work a lot. One day one of the managers offered me some chocolate treat and I politely said no, he said 'ohhh come on its delicious" and I said no again. Then he really looked at me and said "you've lost weight haven't you" Iol. I then pointed at my fruit on my desk and said "yep these are my treats now" and he goes "well done!" and thankfully walked out of my office phew lol. Other work colleagues have some kind of takeaway on what they call "Fat Friday" like pizza, fried chicken or fish and chips. They always ask if I want to order even though they know I will say no every time. So my ongoing NSV is to keep eating my lovely healthy home made lunches despite all the temptations.32

I bought capris today in a size 14 in the regular Ladies' Department - not Women's Plus sizes! I was wearing a 16W. At the beginning of the summer, I bought a couple pair of capris/slacks in 16 (not plus), but they are getting big, too. So, today I decided to try size 14 - woohoo! Bought two pair in different styles, so I know it isn't a fluke, I haven't been in size 14 in a LONG time. Yay!32

My NSV - been sick for 3 days. Managed to stick to my calories, and I even kept up my steps these past 2 days. It was super hard sticking to my calories and eating right when I wasn't hungry, couldn't taste anything, couldn't smell anything, and only wanted to carb load....but I did it. I got back on track today and ate more protein, went for my walk, hopped on the bike, and will be doing a short core workout later. Three months ago, getting sick would have sidelined me almost permanently. I would have given up. I feel good with my decisions today.25

I never considered how much food I just easily say no to, until I stepped back to think about it. Just today, I said no to pretzels and fries today at work, chips at home and I had dessert that was a third of the size of everyone else's.19
-
My bike shorts now look like regular bike shorts that fit, rather than overstuffed sausage casings.30

Though I hate cat calling and think street harassment is the worst, while I was doing my nightly walk a young man about my age smiled at me and called me Beyonce...I'll take it!17

I have shared this with my MFP friends but I want to share it here too. This thread is truly inspirational, and some days it's the one thing that keeps me focused. I just hope my random postings can help motivate others as yours do for me.
1) It's been twelve months yesterday since I had a 3lb tumour removed, and all the treatment etc that goes along with it. If you had asked me if I thought I would be in such a good place this time last year, I would have just cried.
2) Taking my son to the surgery yesterday for a new plaster cast, one of the nurses who was involved in my treatment but hasn't seen me in about ten months commented on how amazing and fit I look.
3) A girlfriend's husband almost fell over when he saw me last week for the first time in about three years. Told me I looked incredible and wanted to know what I did with the rest of me!
Even though the scales don't always show us success, we need to look beyond numbers and embrace the little achievements we have every day. Never let anyone tell you that you're not worth it. Because you absolutely are xx45 -
I can feel all the structure of my coccyx. Ugh.
A year ago all I could feel there was fat. Double ugh.12 -
I have a few:
1. My (tight) size 31 jeans are now doing up! I used to have to undo the button if I wanted to sit down in them but now I can wear them all day
2. I bought a packet of Lindt chocolate on sale, and usually it would be a struggle for me not to eat them all in a day. I've had it for 2 days now, and I've only eaten 6 (the box probably has about 50 in it, and the pieces are so small that 3 is probably the weight of a normal piece!)
3. My work pants that I bought about 3 weeks ago are getting a bit loose. Not falling down loose, but loose enough that I can feel them falling down slightly when I walk around
4. I can now do up all my trousers zipper first! I know this sounds a bit weird, but previously to get them to fit properly I would do up the button at the top so I wouldn't have to tug on the zipper to get it to fasten. Yay!23 -
I could fit in those shorts I love after only 3 days of healthy eating.8

I get the "head nod" from other runners and bikers while on my morning power walks indicating I am one of them, not just an older woman out for a stroll. Victory!37

My girlfriend encouraged me to try on some old XL tshirts that here hanging in the back of my closet, some that I hadn't worn in years because they were too small. Much to my great surprise they fit and looked fine. Score one for closet shopping again! Then for fun I threw on some of the 3XLs I'd been wearing when I started my weight loss journey and we laughed about how ridiculous they looked on me and we reflected on how far I've come and how amazing I feel now. It was a sweet moment49

I bought a cute pair of high waisted shorts a couple months ago but I had to wear them folded down so the sat where normal shorts do. Today I tried them kn for the first time in a few weeks and I have to wear them high waisted to make them fit!

I fit into a size smaller dress and a pair of jeans which I've never been able to wear. It's my first size smaller since I began the weight loss journey.20

I have a thin husband who eats mountains of food and stays thin. It's been ages since I got dressed in front of him, but the other day he walked in when I was getting dressed and said "Look at you!" in genuine tones of amazement and approval, so that was kind of great. And some friends called round and asked him how he liked his "new wife" later the same day. They meant well, but made so much fuss I was kind of embarrassed. Interesting, because I was so keen for someone to notice and comment on my weight loss, but now I know what that feels like when done the wrong way, I'm a bit more appreciative of the people who just don't comment!20

My mother in law, whom I have never met in person, commented that she's noticed my weight loss from photos. So excited someone has finally noticed after 35 lb loss.17

Had a similar problem earlier at my mum's - she made a huge fuss about my weight loss in front of my brother. She hasn't seen me for four months, my brother for seven months and the difference (~60lbs) is very apparent. There was no need for her to say anything; I was so embarrassed I wanted to go and hide in a corner.6 -

@AnnPT77 , Thank You. You bought tears to my eyes and put a smile in my heart. To know that I moved you enough to write those words is beautiful. Everyone here deserves to be celebrated because by doing this we put ourselves on the line and become accountable, whilst also knowing that our thoughts & feelings are embraced, not criticised.
At the end of the day our journeys are all different, but our end goal is really the same.
To make today better than yesterday. Love 2307dee xx8 -
I've just calculated my BMI. I've gone from 39 to 34.7 and I'm chuffed that I've done something for me, although a long journey ahead. Best wishes all X21

In January of this year I couldn't run a mile without stopping. This past week I ran a total of 50 miles and that included my longest and furthest run yet...12.7 miles in 2 hours and 6 minutes.36
