Realized I'm feeling kinda bored, down and not wanting to bother exercising g.
Still exercised and realized the problem.is lack of sleep. To fix that will be going to bed early. ..in the past I would have quit.19 -
...I woke-up hungry every day the past week. That's huge for me.18

A photographer I didn't know snapped a picture of me at my gallery reception, so didn't run it by me before putting on social media. First of all, he picked my photo (it was a group show, and I don't even know if he knew I was a participating artist) second of all, I liked it so much it is my new profile pic here (or, rather, a cropped version is... I am talkng to the curator in the original photo) Bonus: I sold most of the pieces in the show
TL;DR: I like pictures of myself now41 -
A few for me here
1. Went shopping with my MIL who is always very negative. Tried on a few things and she actually said, wow you are doing great!
2. Found a London Fog coat in a consignment shop size XL and walked out with it! My first nice work coat in years.
3. Went for my walk the other day and actually included bursts of jogging! Never thought I would do this.25 -
I can fit in my pre-pregnancy jeans. And my favorite gray jumper.19

Two people told me I was looking good yesterday! Encouraging after a bad week.16

Went grocery shopping on Sunday. At check out realized I had only 2 processed items in my grocery cart. The rest was fresh fruit/veggies and meat. Oh and a tub of ice cream for a treat now and again. 2 month ago, I would have been lucky if there was any fresh fruit/veggies or meat in it. Not only am I eating healthier, my whole family is. (I am the meal planner in the house)33

Took a bunch of jeans and shorts to clothing recycling place yesterday; can't keep them up anymore...28

I bought pants 2 years ago without trying them on, when I got home I found out they didn't fit AT ALL. I refused to return them and stashed them into the dresser. Found the pants last week cleaning out said dresser and tried them on again. Not only did they fit but I needed a belt! Hot Damn!31

I can shop at Old Navy again. I bought a little sundress yesterday and went back today and got another24

I went in for my first wedding dress fitting. They ended up just exchanging the dress. I lost so much since March that I was swimming in it and it was easier to just reorder me one (4 sizes smaller) than to try to alter it and keep the integrity. The woman that helped me also said I can lose my last 20 pounds if I want (which would get me to goal!) and they can still alter it.52

Realizing that I was the fittest adult at the pool this weekend. Although to be honest, there weren't a whole lot of them there.20

Oh my gosh that's so awesome! You should be SO proud!6 -
I'm about to have to buy a smaller size in ALL my work out pants/shorts, they keep falling off and I just bought new ones last month.21

1) I just discovered that my armpits are actually concave instead of bulging and convex! I never knew . . . . no wonder people complain that it's harder to shave them after losing weight
2) I happened to catch sight of myself in the car window earlier and once I'd gotten over the really scary image, I discovered that I can see my collarbones UNDERNEATH my t-shirt.
3) I still have loads of weight to lose (still have a staggeringly huge stomach, big backside, thumping thighs, fat fingers, remains of formerly quadruple-chin, etc, etc, you get the picture) BUT I am only a little way from being a healthy weight40 -
Spent the day walking up and down the hills of Edinburgh zoo and managed to walk over 10,000 steps for the first time since getting my fitbit overt a year ago. I usually manage 3000 steps at most on a normal day. Also burned over 4,000 calories today!31

Yesterday, a guy kept looking at me as I was walking through the train station. I just looked down, felt uncomfortable and a little humiliated, and assumed he was judging me, that he was going to be mean, that maybe I had something on me ...
Now I realize he was checking me out. And now I realize that has happened a couple of times before in the last few weeks.
Good grief, I am not used to this at all. It's a whole new world, and I kind of don't know how to act in it yet.43 -
Maybe slightly TMI but my bras finally fit! I was refusing to buy a 34G so sucked it up for a while and now they fit perfectly22

Hunny says I can't wear these jeans in public anymore. Too baggy. (Don't worry, they won't fall- I've got the wrong shape for that.)22

I tried on three formal dresses from college that I loooved (bought in 2001-2, haven't zipped up any of them in 11+ years). All too big and no longer form fitting/flattering. Sad, but awesome at the same time! I was hoping to wear the white one to celebrate my 10th anniversary, but oh darn, I will have to go shopping!Madwife2009 wrote: »1) I just discovered that my armpits are actually concave instead of bulging and convex! I just found this out too! Crazy. And annoying.

Tonight I decided to restart c25k, a nonscale victory in and of itself! But I remember a few weeks ago when I started the first time, the same shirt kept riding up and the same running shorts would fall under my belly, so I would have to hitch the shorts up and pull the shirt down. Tonight, I only had to readjust once!25

Today marks 100 consecutive days on MFP!
I have logged every meal, snack and sip, except one single day.
Thats also 14 solid weeks of working out, walking, or running for at least 30 minutes a day 6 days a week.
This is the longest I have ever stayed consistent and all of my hard work is paying off! It's habit now, and I'm never going back. 50 lbs down.44 -
A dress i got two weeks ago feels loose.17

I was visiting a friend about 45 minutes away from my house. I left right around 12:30 and was pretty stinking hungry. While I was still at her house I decided I'd stop at the McDonalds and get something calorie friendly to eat when I left (I had my mind on some fries for sure though).
When I pulled up to McDonalds I decided I didn't want it that bad and could wait til I got home. Huge win for me.41 -
I sleep with two pillows because I find it comfortable and I am a stomach sleeper as I have always found that comfortable as well. Last night I noticed that my head was tilted upwards more than usual so I took one pillow off for a minute and found that I was comfortable with one pillow. I thought about it for a second and then lifted myself up to simulate not having lost the inches I lost while keeping my head in the same position and found it uncomfortable without the second pillow. I then realize the true reason for the second pillow and slept with the second pillow anyway.
Today I went to scratch the back of my neck and rested my thumb above my shoulder and felt an indentation between the shoulder and what I am guessing is the start of the collarbone. There is still some fat there, but not as much as there used to be.22 -
This is going to sound silly. But for the last week I'm obsessed with the back of my hands. While I'm typing I can see the bones moving under my skin. I just keep staring at them in amazement.33

To get through the summer holidays without hearing I'm bored!! I've been dragging my kids out for walks which they aren't used to and I'm still going strong and they are flagging after 4 miles.. They're little faces are amazed and horrified that I find it fun..32

#NSV: Get this ... I have COLLAR BONES! Two of them! And I can see them!30
