            Glad to see a lost this morning given I had a water retention spike yesterday that put me over last week's weigh in, and I still feel a bit bloated. I'm sure now that I've posted my weigh in, the scale will drop some more later this morning...somehow it knows...lol.

 Goals for month of August:- Eat within my calorie goal and match my macro ratios daily
- Planks and 30 minutes of Gazelle (Glider) every week night (M-F)
- 2 or more additional Days of Cardio (SUP); 2 Days Strength/Resistance
- Over 7 hours of sleep/night
- Drink 8-10 glasses of water/day
 
 Challenges: Getting new workout routine established, and having solid alternate plans when the weather doesn't want to cooperate. Being motivated to workout. Eating within macros. Getting enough sleep and water daily.
 Successes:- Down .8 pounds, despite having a water retention spike yesterday and still feeling a bit bloated this morning.
- NSV - A few weeks ago, I was able to get into a pair of smaller pants (Columbia size 8), but had bad muffin top, so I left them hanging on my closet door for motivation. Today, the pants fit nicely and are now getting added into my wardrobe!!
- Have dropped below my lowest weight from last summer (which was 138.4 and is when I started to gain again last year after losing about 13 pounds). Finally feel like I know what I need to do (and it is controllable, not just a fluke) to keep dropping to my ultimate goal weight.

 Successes/struggles this week: Lost a lot of water weight I was retaining last 2 weeks!! Made for a huge downward jump in my scale weight. (TMI: I got up one night like 5 times and kept thinking "Why do I have to pee so much?!" and when I finally got on the scale in the morning it had gone down almost 4 whole pounds! Mystery solved.)
 I had a bit of an unintentional splurge yesterday, a BIG piece of cake was calling my name that I most definitely did not have the calorie budget for. In a moment of weakness I ate the whole thing. Sadly it didn't feel great. Back on track today! This week I'm going to be way more strict with calories, I've been a little lax lately and I don't want it catching up with me.4

Have been "maintaining" at 20-30 lb overweight for years and have been saying for years that I want to get rid of it and maintain at a more healthy level so this HAS to be the year! There are only 5 months left in the year... It's time to really buckle down.

 Successes/struggles this week: I'm at a loss. I ate within my limits, I measured, I tracked, and I worked out 6 out of 7 days last week... and I gained.  If it's TOM, and you've been doing everything right, then unfortunately, you may still see a water retention/bloat increase on the scale. Just keep doing what you are doing, and you should see a drop by next week. I gained 3 pounds this past week due to TOM, and while I saw a drop yesterday, I still need to see another before I weigh in tomorrow, or I'm going to be higher this week than last week too. It's all the "fun" of being female...whoopie! 
 Also, if you are working out at a level that you've not done before, you might be retaining water in your muscles as they rebuild and repair. Eventually the water will drop when your muscles are ready...sadly, it's rarely when you are ready to see it drop. I've actually altered some of my working out days, so that I don't do anything too different the day before my weigh ins now, so I'm not retaining water from a new workout.
 Either way, don't stress too much and look at the trends over time.
 Also, it might help to take tape measurements of key areas. I find that when I stall or sometimes even gain a bit on the scale, I can have a loss in inches. It helps to calm me and keeps me going to keep doing what I'm doing even if the number on the scale is frustrating me. I find some weeks I lose inches and other weeks I lose pounds. On spectacular weeks, I'll lose both.

 Challenges: TOM bloat; TOM hormonal eating binge earlier in the week. Didn't feel like working out most days this week. Working on improving my fiber numbers.
 Successes: Maintained weight, despite having a major water retention TOM spike earlier in the week (of nearly 3 pounds). Still lost inches in my shoulders, chest and thighs. Finally figured out a way to make eggs where I actually like them. Finally completed a (30 Day) plank challenge that I had started back in May.0
