What is your gym pet peeve?

My main one is people who sit on the weight machines for 10+ minutes playing on their phones when other people are waiting to use them.

I dont smell the greatest after a 2 hour cardio sesh but theres always that one SUPER STINNNKYY/PISS/B.O person in the gym, huge pet peeve when they start working out next to you and you cant even breathe.10
-
When that one person looks at you every time you move. Oh wait that is me.7
-
None. I don't go to gym to worry about what others are doing, I go for my goals.21
-
People who don't re-rack their weights is number one. People who can't put the same plates together, 45's, 35's, etc. People who sit on a piece of equipment for ten minutes between sets.15
-
gym and bathrooms not being clean8
-
People that want to chit chat. I'm there to work out, not to socialize.13
-
People who insist on giving you bad lifting advice that is contrary to everything you've read and learned.12
-
Centipedes taking up all the equipment. Don't even get me started when it's their leg day12
-
People who don't wipe the seat off when they're done and leave it covered in butt sweat.15
-
-
People who use the assisted pull up/dip machine for leg exercises.... thats not whats its for and there is a machine across the gym thats actually made for that.5
-
Another vote for not re-racking weights. Bonus points if said weights are on a barbell 6ft or more off of the ground and I have to go get a box to be able to do it myself safely.
Also not a fan of people trying to talk to me in the middle of a set.5 -

While I would normally agree with this, there is one newish guy in my gym who when he is doing deadlifts or bent over barbell rows lets the barbell hit the floor so loud, that it is louder than anything I have ever heard in my life. that has become my pet peeve.6 -
I am easily annoyed so I have a lot. lol. But the people who go to my gym are mostly very considerate. The only issues/pet peeves I've had recently are:
- People who try to take up more than one piece of equipment. There's one guy who consistently tries to take the ONLY squat rack and the ONLY power rack at the same time because he's super-setting or something. I have to constantly kick him out.
- People who hop on the treadmill right next to mine when there are 20 other identical, open treadmills. Go away.
- Anyone who doesn't wipe their bench/equipment clean.10 -

There is one particular guy at my gym that has a ponytail and I call him "Stinkbro" (like a Pokemon because I'm weird) and I swear to God he follows me around the gym. I thought the first couple times it was just because I caught him maybe on an off day of showering, but nope. He just stinks. You stink, bro.3 -
Weight droppers. I hate hearing the sound through my already excessively loud music. If you're strong enough to lift it, you are strong enough to set it down.32

They started doing a boot camp style class on tues/thurs mornings. During prep for the class, 2 or three guys swarm the weight room and take all the 10 - 20 lb dumbbells (so pretty much the only one's I use). If you don't have enough equipment for your class, don't have a class. I've been trying to be proactive and grab the ones I need before that happens but hording dumbbells is just not my thing.3

When the person next to me is singing with their headphones in... or making loud noises as they work out. and weight droppers............0

I have a few things but today is going to be what I find positive about the gym day. I have gained the courage to go in the weight room with the guys and find most are pretty cool. Like the guy next to me who kindly added the right amount of weight to my bar because he was on that side and noticed how much I was adding. Being told to not be intimidated by the "goons" in the gym, by a "goon" himself. His words of encouragement helped!

In the past not re-racking the weights has been an issue but I have not seen it lately. Most of the people around my weight room do their work and are generally decent gym mates.
However, I have had a problem with "Rest Between Sets Guy". On Monday I wanted to do deadlifts in the regular deadlift area. But this Brofessor had it locked down and he did 2.5 reps during my entire 45 minute workout. Not 2.5 sets, REPS. I did my deadlifts in the squat area. Had a similar dude take up a BP bench for 45 minutes this morning, but I was done with BP by then.
Use the equipment and get a move on. How do these people have that much time?3 -

When I saw the title this is what I was gonna post! Especially if they are sitting on a machine in the circuit area. That really chaps my *kitten*2 -

Ha. I used to work out at one gym where there was this old man who would wear one of those plastic suits that wrestlers wear to sweat when they're trying to cut weight, but this guy would wear it every workout and I swear he'd just take it off and throw it in a locker until next time. This guy smelled like walking death, like my eyes would water..3 -

There's actually this guy who dances and it just puts me in a good mood. It's a type of dance you would do when you found out some good news or something. When I watch him, I feel like I'm listening to Happy by Pharrell. Wait, maybe he's listening to that song on repeat.7 -

Going along with that... people who walk over to the circuit area just to use the equipment and get in the way of the people who are actually doing the circuit so they have to skip the machine and remember to go back to it.2 -
people not taking the weights off the barbells when they are done.... grrrrrr. especially the 6'1 + guys who do that at the squat rack3
