i hadn't purchased jeans in ages and can't fit into the ones i own but i needed a pair, so last month i bought online at torrid based on my last recorded measurements, when they arrived the fit well enough but after wearing them a bit they loosened up. i washed and shrank them but even right out of the dryer they are still a bit big. can take them on and off without undoing the button. i saw they were having a denim sale so i bought another pair but a size down i figured when they got here they would be a bit tight but a good motivator. i tried them on this morning and they fit! no muffin top or anything! meanwhile the scale hasn't budged in weeks, but i've stuck with my plan and just felt like it was working.25

I guess for me it a reoccurring one where kids that come to my training are a bit astounded when they find out my age.24

Getting up and walking 1 mile every day this week!!!24

Did my normal walk in my neighborhood today...but 1/4 the way it started to rain. I could have cut the walk short, but I kept going despite the rain, and I even did a little extra distance at the end. When you have a goal, not even rain can stop you!30

I can now get into some of the skirts that I had gotten too big for and could even wear one all day at work without it being uncomfortable.12

I fell off for few weeks (had amazing holiday in meanwhile) and gained 8 pounds I lost my over 200 days streak here and was feeling very down and defeated. But yesterday I pulled myself together, logged everything and did 1 h workout! Today scale showed 2 pounds less than yesterday, what the hell?? I'm so happy and I'm slowly and very carefully starting to believe again that I can actually do it...
Can you say "water retention?" Sure you can.
Think about this... in 1 week - IF you at 500 calories over maintenance EVERY day - you could gain 1 lb of actual fat. In order to gain 8 lbs - real fat pounds - in 3 weeks - you would have to be eating your daily maintenance calories PLUS something like 1200 calories - EVERY day - to gain actual fat in the amount of 8 lbs.
I bet the rest of that 8 falls off in the next week or so...
You got this. Great NSV.

Today I was planning out my meals after breakfast and needed to get the box of instant potatoes off the top shelf. I am 5'0" so I can barely reach it and think that I might have to get a chair. I leaned against the counter and stood on my toes and was barely able to reach it in order to get it down. I wasn't able to do that last week.19

first time i've seen a vein running from my hand all the way up to my bicep. always been heavy, so this has never been seen in my life. feelsgoodman30

Spending this Saturday going through clothes I stored (for many years) in large plastic containers in my basement.
I just tripled my wardrobe! I'm shocked, so happy, and crying a little surrounded by all these piles of things.
It's all casual and for cooler / cold weather, which is just around the corner where I live.
How amazing it is to come across a shirt or sweater and not only have it bring back such wonderful memories but be able to wear these small, petite things comfortably. WOW!37 -
Two months ago, I had a pair of jeans I had to button before pulling up and they were so tight. Sunday I took the kids to youth group and put my pants on over my gym shorts. Well they fell off and I needed a belt, even with the gym shorts underneath.26

I'm feeling very proud of myself today. Yesterday I did not have it in me to go to the gym but I'm "not allowed" to outright skip a workout. So last night after dinner I went for a long walk to make up for my missed cardio and this morning I got my lazy butt out of bed way before I actually wanted to and hit the gym to make up for my missed weight training. It would have been so easy for me to stay on the couch last night or stay in bed this morning (trust me I really wanted to) but I decided that these were the "consequences" for skipping my usual workout! My determination shocks me, I think more then anything my mental strength has vastly improved since I started my weight loss journey.30

My latest NSV has nothing to do with weight or my body; I finally got my G1 on Thursday! Huge accomplishment for me, as I didn't think I'd even ever bother12

What's a G1? ☺5 -
This morning while I was getting dressed, I went into the bathroom and happened to look at myself from the side after pulling my shirt on. I noticed that I look significantly slimmer from the side now, and I really like the way I look so far!23

Ive managed to exercise, even if only for a 15-20 minutes for 6 days in a row! Tomorrow is my rest day, then Monday it starts all over!29

Okay, I was reading this thread and looked at the computer reflection because I thought I saw something fly past the window and then happened to glance at my ear and realized that I can now almost see my entire ear. When I started I could only see the top tip of it so my face is definitely shrinking.16

My most recent NSV is that I went from being barely mobile with fibromyalgia to being able to do 60+ minutes of cardio almost daily, not to mention adding in weights within two months time.29

My Nsv is staying under calories on my sons first birthday20

Ditto... please enlighten us, @JustMissTracy !
I tried looking it up and got a whole bunch of different things - the only one I spotted that looked appropriate was an Ontario driver's licence. Is that it? (If so, congrats! )
Edit: I guess I should add my own NSVs for this week...! I had to tighten my belt another hole, and hubby says my legs are looking much slimmer. I can't see that myself and they still look awfully fat to me, so I'll have to take his word for it that they're changing!
Also, I still have a bar of chocolate in the fridge that I've only had four squares of over the past six weeks or so. I'm amazed at myself! (Been treating myself with strawberries instead, while they're cheaper!)19 -
I tried on a pair of size 10 pants at the store today because they didn't have a 12. They fit! I didn't get them because they were not flattering, but they actually fit! I can't believe it!
To clarify, while I could fit into a size 10 shorts a few days ago, those shorts were made big and not a 10 in a typical brand.20 -
A couple. I ran, not jogged, 20 minutes straight outside down to a river. I am wearing a large Australian size eight top (size4 us). Fits but not super comfy with tummy so gives me more motivation to eat well.18

My husband took a picture of me in my swimsuit last week and I didn't even realize before I looked at the picture that almost all of the cellulite is gone from my thighs! This is a huge NSV for me because I have struggled with terrible cellulite all of my adult life.36

My parents have just returned from Europe, and my Dad (God love him) bought me back a new denim jacket from Germany because he thought my old one was too big (which it is). Apparently he and Mum had an argument in the store over the size but he won. I visited today and tried it on... Size 40 EUR fits like a glove! I've no idea what it translates to in Aussie size, but Mum was adamant if it didn't fit me, her 10yo granddaughter could have it!!31

Added almost 30 lbs. to my overhead press in less than a week. Detrained noob gains ftw. Man, I missed lifting.14

My shoes are so loose these days! Guess my feet have shrunk. Also I need to wear so many layers of clothing because I feel so cold all the time (even when its not all that cold outside).17

Thank you, that was a huge help! Jacket made in Italy, purchased in Germany & now lives in Australia. I just wonder why the world doesn't have standard clothing sizes?? Perhaps it's supposed to keep us all on our toes xx

2 weeks of endurance and strength training = shaved a minute off my mile! New personal best 9:10. I am doing something I never thought I'd be able to do. Whoa!24

Good morning! A G1 is indeed the first step towards an Ontario drivers license! I received mine one day before my 47th birthday, proving ALL the nay sayers wrong! Huge pride for me this week!JustMissTracy wrote: »My latest NSV has nothing to do with weight or my body; I finally got my G1 on Thursday! I never wear pants. I wear scrubs for work and on my days off I wear comfy exercise type shorts and dresses/skirts because they're so comfortable. Last night I was going out with friends and put a pair of tight jeans on. Last time I wore them I had to lay down to button them and they were honestly pretty uncomfortable. Well they buttoned easily and were comfortable! They're still tight and not gonna fall off me by any means, but it was SO nice to be comfortable in them!23
