I'm 5'8" and today I was 166.4- I wear a 10 or 12 depending. My waist is 32 but I have a round butt :P0

Yep everyones bodies are different. I found this thread really interesting.
Im currently 159 and wearing a "true" size 10. I have a very old classic cut skirt size 10 that is not vanity sized and it fits. In vanity sizing and especially with spandex I wear an 8. My shorts right now are size 8 which is just funny to me. Back in the old days I had to be around 145 to fit into a size 8.
My body type is pretty athletic with a booty but not much of a waist or hips. Oh and the arms yes! SO annoying! I have lots of muscle that I can see and feel but still have the wing thing going on a little bit.
Oh and I am 5 8.5"
When I weighed about 200 lbs I wore a size 16.0 -

So crazy to see all the differences between us all! I'm just under 5'8" I'm about 5'7. I wear size 5. Sometimes size 7 cause I have muscular legs and a pretty nice sized butt. I weigh 148lbs on a bad day.0

I know you asked for 5'8", but I am 5'9", 165 and I wear size 8. I do carry a ton of muscle in my legs, however and have almost no stomach to speak of0

I am only 5'4" but when I was at 250 I was in a size 26-28. I am currently at 155 and I where some 14s, and a few 12s and 16s. It is amazing how different sizes can fit.0

I am 5'8, maybe 5'9, and at 196 in a size 12. Thanks so much for posting this, I am a member of myfitnesspal, but came across this while googling 5'8 women at diff weights. I've been trying to figure out what my goal should be because I've been chubby my whole life, and even in highschool was probably around 175 or 180. I don't know what it would be like to be smaller, or how much I could weigh, what size I'd fit into etc.
Your body looks amazing, so it's very inspirational to see that I could work towards something like you have Good job, it's hard work! PS my arms are my worst trouble area as well! I heard somewhere that people with higher estrogen levels tend to hold onto fat in that area, but who knows if that's true. Thnx again!1 -
I buy at Gap because the regular length pants run longer than most places, so these sizes are probably inflated, I'll include inches.
At 122lb I was a 0 (35 inch hips)
At 130lb I was a 2 (36 inch hips, and my legs got bigger)
At 138lb I am a 4 (38 inch hips)
I suspect these are really 4/6/8 before vanity sizing. In every case, TALL would fit better everywhere except inseam length - I do have trouble with the rise being too short on regular length pants so the waist doesn't land where it expects to, it's irritating. But they discontinued tall in everything smaller than 4, (except for the occasional 00, modeling overruns maybe?) Now that I am 4 sometimes I do buy tall and hem them.

5'7", 180 and fit into 12s. Some 10s, depending on the brand. At my goal weight, which is 150ish, I fit into 6 or 8s.0

5'9" and around 120 right now. I am (and have always been) hippy, so I wear a 2-4 right now. When I was 105 I wore 0-2. Just depends on the brand.0

May i suggest taking up conducting to tone your arms? A three month theatre run did wonders for my arms.
Seriously , though, if you want nice arms you have to work for them.1 -
5"8 180..hour glass shape wear a size 12. when I'm 170ish I wear a size 10 ...at 160ish an 8 and at my lowest 130 I wore a size 4.0

I'm just under 5'9" and currently weigh about 160. I am still nursing (3 months postpartum) and I'm pretty muscular so I can't really tell what size I am at the moment. I think a good deal of that weight is in my breasts from nursing. My size 28/29 pre-pregnancy jeans fit though a bit tighter than I like, but most of my tops are a no-go (ugh).
I can give you pre-pregnancy details: I weighed about 145-150 lbs. and wore size 28/29 jeans.1 -
I am only 5'6" but at 172 I wear a 10 and at my goal weight which I have been in the past...at 150 I am a size 6 (US) ( no stretch material ).
It's crazy how different we all are . How some people with lower weight and same height or even taller, wear a bigger size. I am very even, I have no real defined waist. When I lose weight the first place that goes is hips and stomach.0 -
I'm 5'8.
Currently I am 192 lbs and wear a loose size 10. I think I will end up at about a size 6 when all is said and done. I gain and lose weight very evenly, I have extra large bones, and have a large hourglass figure. When I weighed 209, I was just growing out of size 12s.0 -
Hello- This is an interesting idea!! I'm 5'8.5" I am now 204 wearing size 14 in cheap jeans and pants. Hoping to get down to a 12 and/or 175 (thick thighs and outer hip). For arms I have done 1. tricep kickbacks, 2. cable pull downs and 3. triceps dips with good results.

Im 5'8. I wear a size 12 pants/jeans. I can wear a size 10 or medium dress.All canadian sizes. My waist is 31" and I weigh 203lbs. I carry my weight in my bubble butt haha.I look athletic. I love my body regardless of my weight.1

I'm 5'8". When I started, I was 162 and fit into size 10 pants. Now I'm at 145... not sure of the current pant size because I'm just wearing the same stretchy stuff and waiting to reach goal weight of 135 before I shop.1

Chiming back in now that I’m 15lb lighter. I still wear 8/10 in pants depending on brand, M too, and a 6 in most dresses. My mid section has gotten smaller and flat but my thigh measurements haven’t changed much even though I have more muscle definition now from lifting. My weight bounces around 155lb now and I’ve been focused on body composition the past year.
I know from past experience I won’t drop below a size 8 until I hit around 140lb or go above an 8/10 until I hit around 180lb.0 -
I find it is all about the brand. I am 5’8 1/2” and 151. I currently wear 6, 8 and 10 pants. I am pretty straight with no real problem areas so it’s interesting to see how big brands like Old Navy, White House Black Market are. Gap is in the middle and American Eagle is cut super small (makes sense bc of teen and young adult market).
Ironically my biggest sizes are American Eagle but I look the smallest in them!0 -
