24 Hour Challenge - September 2016

Here's the 24 hour challenge thread for September! Let's do it again!! And welcome to any newcomers!
The goal is to hit at least 24 hours of exercise during the month of August. Any type of activity that you log in your exercise diary counts (both cardio and strength training).
And for you hosses and hossettes out there (you know who you are), if you want to do more, just post your personal goal that is over the baseline challenge goal. And for anyone who wants to join part of the way through, just post a comparable goal to finish out the month (for example, joining half way through, post a goal of 12 hours).
There is no group for this and no private messages needed. No fancy spreadsheets either, just report your running totals here in the thread.

I'm in again...hopefully I'll not have problems posting, my last 2 haven't shown up in the August thread!
I did about 36 hours in August, so I think I'm going to go for 40 hours this time...good luck everyone!

Although I've enjoyed participating (and exceeding) in the July/August challenges, I will not be continuing the same volume of training moving forward. My season culminates this Saturday with an annual 5k race then I will be taking a week off before returning to a much lower volume hypertrophy/strength protocol for the next 6 months. I will however still continue to use MFP during this "off" season as well as browse/participate in the forums. MFP has a really great community. Good luck to everyone in September's challenge.5

Unless the power goes out, I'm likely to get in 4.5-5 hours of exercise in the next few days. Hurricane days off school today and tomorrow, taking advantage.

Ack! Just noticed the cut and paste error in the original post...sadly can't edit it now, but it should read, "The goal is to hit at least 24 hours of exercise during the month of September." But I see y'all figured out what I meant...oh well.
I was stuck inside today due to the Hurricane, so got done what I could today. Probably won't be paddling again until the weekend. Also, starting to integrate an inverted pyramid circuit of Jumping Jacks, Windmills, Squats, Push Ups, Sit Ups, and Leg Lifts into my workout cycle M-F. We'll see how it goes.
1 September: 45 min gazelle (3.02 miles); 8 min inverted pyramid circuit (5->1); 3 min planks (90 sec, 90 sec) = 56 minutes
Total: 56 minutes out of 1440 minutes
Left to Goal: 1384 minutes

The minute I can start exercising again, I'll be logging here. And actually I did manage about a 1 km walk today to and from the bus (0.5 km each way) when I went to get bloodwork done ... but that exhausted me so much, I took a 2-hour nap when I got home. Do I get to count the 2-hour nap?
The last few months, I've gone way over the 24 hours ... this month, however, I'm not sure where I'll end up.3 -

You are amazing @Machka9 !! If you have to, take the month to rest and recover - you deserve it!! I so wish we could count the naps...I'd have doubled my numbers in August if we could. But seriously, I'd have counted that walk to/from the bus at least...that is some exercise, even if it isn't biking2 -

Exhausted after the marathon weeding/gardening session, so passed on the inverted pyramid circuit for today. Good to get outside after being cooped up most of the week due to the storms.
2 September: 135 min gardening / weeding; 30 min gazelle (2.06 miles); 3 min planks (90 sec x 2) = 168 minutes
Total: 224 minutes out of 1440 minutes

Woot! Finally able to go paddling today despite morning rain. Water was murky and only saw one shark instead of my usual plethora of critters. Bonus was that I got to see a pretty nice sunset as I was packing up the car...

Wish I could log the 3+ hours I just spent at church manning a t-shirt hand out booth...I'm exhausted, but it's all good...some calories burned, I'm sure, but it's all extra in the grand scheme of things. So, rather than paddling this afternoon, I'm being lazy at home today because frankly I'm tired. Will get back at it tomorrow. Have a blessed Sunday everyone!2
